I'm a surprised that Jason/Robin were in this category since I've always heard that they were popular. But then again Mimi Torchin didn't like them so maybe it's not a surprise after all.

That was agreat couple of episodes, but the one who really killed in my opinion was Lois Nettleton. Mrs Benson telling Tony a thing or two was great.

Who Cares? - Palmer's paintings, AMC

I was so happy he finally got a little story. I cared!!! It was totally out of character for Palmer to be hording nazi gold though. He actually fought a nazi a decade earlier on the show. But I was happy he had a story and was even more happy it was a story where he wasn't so nice. At the time I assumed this was going to be his swan song.

Yeah I liked that story too -- not because it was in character, as it wasn't, but just because James Mitchell was such fun. I loved when he knocked Tad out with the metal briefcase. He and Jill also acted the stuffing out of their breakup scenes.

I thought that the stuff with Carly and Bobbie was a big letdown, one of many Guza anticlimaxes. Bobbie forgave Luke almost immediately, for no real reason. Bobbie then rarely if ever had any meaningful scenes with Carly. She would often just cluck at her and then take her side sometimes but they never actually talked about their relationship. Virginia was killed off for NO reason. Carly just went back to being obsessed with Jason. The whole thing was a waste.

I'm a surprised that Jason/Robin were in this category since I've always heard that they were popular. But then again Mimi Torchin didn't like them so maybe it's not a surprise after all.

Their last year together was not as popular. Robin basically lost all purpose in life other than being with Jason and raising his child. Jason gave up the mob to work at a bike shop. They had the same dull scenes over and over and were never going anywhere. Any special meaning the relationship had was taken away.

Peter's Jungle Madness

Jason Brooke' brief return as bad boy Peter Blake was a terrible letdown. Peter was bitten by a mosquito, contracted a mysterious jungle madness disease, and soon was ripping sinks out of walls and killing tigers with his bare hands. Instead of bringing back the deliciously devilish Peter and pitting him against Jack and Jennifer right away, Peter roamed for months, battling his raging temper and superhuman strength. Brooks and viewers deserved a whole lot better than this ridiculous storyline.

Kate Frames Sami for Franco's Murder

After months of being blackmailed and manipulated by Sami and watching helplessly as she ruined Lucas' life, Kate finally got the chance to get even. How apropos that Sami was such a cooperative victim, wandering onto the scene of Franco's murder and fainting at the sight of his lifeless body. Kate simply put the smoking gun in Sami's hand. When Sami awakened, even she thought she had fired it. Meanwhile, Lucas, the real culprit, was home free. Revenge never tasted so sweet.

Worst Use of Popular Characters

One of Days' strongest suits has always been its beloved couples: Bo and Hope, John and Marlena, Jack and Jennifer. But storyline twists and newcomers stole the spotlight this year, and these fan favorites suffered. Jack and Jennifer finally reunited after a long, front-burner story on the run, then left Salem with barely a mention. Roman realized John and Marlena were in love and backed off. Following John and Marlena's tender reunion, the couple was rarely seen together. Bo and Hope's relationship was put on hole while both spent the summer looking for clues about Hope's missing years. There is no longer any reward for fans to stick around and root for the characters in whom they have been long invested - and whom they adore.

Best No-Brainer Decision by a Network - NBC Keeps DAYS

Enraged by Columbia TriStar TV's deal to rebroadcast Days commercial-free on a pay-per-view basis via the satellite provider DirecTV, NBC affiliates reportedly urged the network to dump Days. A continual fan favorite (which does well in the Nielsens), one would have thought NBC would fall over itself to keep the show. That was anything but the case; it took months of negotiations and a reported near-deal between Days and ABC for NBC to get with the program, in a manner of speaking. In the end, NBC buckled and re-signed the show. But what the heck took so long?

Sami being used by Franco to get a green card

It was a classic case of a con getting conned. Everybody cautioned the conniving Sami that Franco was using her. But she was so desperate for love that she ignored their warnings and fell head over heels for the Italian charmer. Sami eagerly accepted Franco's marriage proposal, unaware that she was simply a way for him to avoid deportation. A humiliated Sami didn't learn the truth until minutes before their wedding ceremony.

The Killing Pool

Half the fun of this intriguing mystery was trying to figure out who really died, since it was revealed soon after the death that both Susan and Kristen were alive. Several Salemites had their own motives for wanting Kristen dead, so it was an interesting twist to discover that Edmund had apparently inadvertently killed her while trying to protect Susan. Who would have thought that the sweet and goofy Edmund Crumb was capable of murder? He was later horrified to learn that he accidentally drowned Penelope, Susan's long-lost sister (and Eileen Davidson's fifth Days character).

Who Cares? Nicole's past

The moment that waitress-turned-supermodel Nicole turned up in Salem and caught Eric's eye, her tainted past began unraveling. Sleazy Jay was following her around, then reporting back to a faceless jailbird. There was only one problem: Viewers barely got the chance to know Nicole, let alone become emotionally invested in her, before they were expected to care about her past. And guess what: They don't.

Vivian's tooth implant

After drugging and rendering her unconscious, Dr. Rolf grabbed his power drill and went to work on Vivian's tooth - implanting a filling hooked up to a remote control that let Stefano regulate her every mood swing. Kind of makes you want to beg for root canal, huh?

Will It Ever End?

It started with Lisa Rinna's Billie and now - three years later - Krista Allen-Moritt's Billie is still pining over Bo, despite the fact that his heart does, did and always will belong to Hope. Enough already! It's time Billie looked elsewhere for love, and Bo and Hope accepted their fate and reunited once and for all.

Thanks for writing these up.

Billie and Roman were lovers on Days? I didnt think that happened till Julie Pinson was in the role

Yeah even in the writeup for the Taylor/Brooke/Ridge they basically said "for now."

The Mr. Murty twist was that Liz and Lucky assumed her English teacher, Mr. Murty, had raped her. She held him at knifepoint and demanded he confess to her rape. He felt awful for her but told her he wasn't near the park that night, he was with his boyfriend. His boyfriend then came home and confirmed this. Funnily enough, Patrick Fabian, who played Mr. Murty, had, around this same time, appeared in the first episode of Providence as Melina K's fiance, and she caught him in the shower with another man.

The Tad photo twist was at Brooke's trial for shooting Jim Thomasen. Tad took innocent photos of various Pine Valley children and with help from his old friend Alfred Vanderpoole, made it look like Jim had taken the photos. This helped convince the jury that Brooke was right.

SPW says that Erika has "exotic looks" is "subtle," and gets her point across with "facial expressions and that slow, smokey voice of hers."

Yeah it was the attic one.

It was revealed that Roman and Billie had both worked undercover for the ISA while they were both in Europe trying to get over Bo and Marlena. They had a secret mission together and then viewers saw them having sex.

The GH story was the Mac lookalike, yes. They said the best part of the end was that the story got Mac and Felicia back together.

Mimi Torchin pretty much doesn't like KMc so yeah I can see why Robin & Jason are on their, and bad story or not, their chemistry was still there. That kind of chemistry just doesn't vanish

I was never a big fan of theirs but at the time even a lot of their fans online, I remember them just being sick of it, especially Carly's involvement. It was all very dull and made Robin look bad.

There used to be a special chemistry between Jason and Robin, the brain-damaged Quartermaine heir and the young HIV-positive woman who taught him so much about life and love. Unfortunately, it's vanished. There's no longer a spark in their relationship. All they do is play house with baby Michael, a story that's made them duller than dishwater. Do the names Ward and June Cleaver ring a bell?

It's too bad she isn't in more. I loved her in Daddy's Dyin...

  • Member

She totally should've played Kathy Brier's Mother.

+1 on the idea alone.

That's the ABC Daytime that would have given a damn.
