A 1995 episode has been uploaded - I don't think it was already up.

@P.J. it's a Carly episode. I had forgotten she used to call Rosanna "Rosebud" - not in a kind way. So did I - not in a kind way.

Mike/Rosanna always suck the life out of scenes.

@DramatistDreamer This might be a little late for your ATWT enjoyment era but tagging anyway just in case.

I had also forgotten there was a redesign of the Mona Lisa, which does not look good (and it seems like the camera angles are trying to hide that). How long did the Mona Lisa last anyway? I think people were still going there in the late '90s but I can't remember after that.

Some good Kim/John scenes here.

It's a shame Jeremy left (I know it was the actor's choice) as he was more natural and compelling than the usual generic models like those we got in 1996 (Ryder, Paul, etc.). It might have made more sense to bring him back for Margo/Tom conflict than that weird story with Eddie and his being fixated on Margo.

OMG---PROOF that Carly didn't know who Mike was when they hooked up. Haters retooled history insisting she did.

LOL...I used to love Carly's snarky "Rosebud". And Tess calling Rosanna "Just Rosanna

Just Rosanna was a hoot.

I had also forgotten they used that very loud hair metal music cue with Carly.  I do remember the fiddle cue they use right as they're about to kiss.

The idea of looking for more reasons to prove how wicked Carly was feels like something Lisa would have been doing in the '00s.

I think all the ATWT sets in the late 70s, early 80s looked like that...it may have been a recycled set but I dont think it was supposed to be the same house Don had...interesting that they used the original set that Lyla lived in when she first came to town, I wonder if the ghost of Lisa Lorings bad acting haunted the set?

I remember Tess used to say 'Rosanna C' whenever she addressed her or introduced her to anyone during the summer of 1992 when Rosanna was a mysterious runaway.  I think Parker Posey getting a movie was why her character was quickly written out and then replaced by Debbie  as the heavy in the Hutch/Rosanna coupling.

I do think it was the same set at least.  I recently watched an episode that someone posted which featured Don and Joyce.  And the house they were living in looked identical to the house Lyla and Casey later shared.  And if (as you said) that was the same set Lyla lived in when she first came to town, then it makes me wonder how much time passed between Don's departure from the show and Lyla's arrival. I suppose it is possible it was not only the same set, but even supposed to be the same house. Who knows??   No big deal, but I do find set transitions interesting.

I was watching CNN's Have I Got News for You and in a game where they have to guess which of 3 facts is true about a person they had one about Parker Posey where the true item was that she had dropped out of SUNY Purchase to work on a soap. No one knew and both teams rejected the true item as "too believable". Then they played a short clip from 1991 of Tess sitting on some grass with a blond guy I didn't know who was talking about his father and a drainage ditch. Then the HIGNFY people made fun of the clip.

Nice to see that sneering anti-soap attitude remains...even with CNN's ratings in the toilet, the elitism dies last.

That could make sense. I wonder if she's ever spoken about her reasons for leaving. I am trying to remember if they built Debbie up before Tess left. Sad to say, Debbie was nowhere near as interesting.

In her interview with Alan Locher a few years ago, Alison Rice shared that when Parker Posey was offered the movie, Posey asked ATWT if she could be allowed to take time to film it. TPTB said no and Alison remembers Posey saying, "Well this is a great opportunity and I'm not giving it up" and she abruptly left ATWT.

That is surprising considering Marland was still HW. He was famous for allowing cast members to do other projects while on WT. It must have been Caso that didn't allow it.

I didn't care for the character of Tess or Posey acting.

    • Ugh. I genuinely hope not; I pray, somehow, CHCH-DT is told to provide a one-day pause. The last thing we need is a Y&R situation with this soap. I'm pretty sure Samantha is the older twin.
    • As usual, Jane Elliot stole the show. GM was good as Gio as were Rena, Dominic, and Amanda.   I also thought the actress that plays Emma was low key, but perfect at the same time-just listening and reacting.
    • I'm surprised it took me this long to get into RH. The soap is so damn good, I am just as obsessed with the Ryan's as Delia. The Ryans are a great family unit and seem like good people. I wish I had a family like that. This show has so many parallels to BTG. Frank's mystery is very similar to Martin's. Both are my favorites on each show. adding more thoughts soon once I get a consistent watch going.
    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
