The livestream left me feeling kind of sad, tbh. There was no one to intercede to make it better. It was great to see Tunie but I won't be watching any more of these. It's just too sad.

Sad is a good word to use. Alan has had more than enough time to improve both his research and interviewing skills.

well, it wasn’t as bad as i feared. however, there were two huge missed opportunities: he never asked if she remembered kasi lemmons from when they were both on ‘world turns. and…

when she talked about ‘world turns being “unique among the soaps. the culture was different. the environment was different,” the response of even a modestly competent interviewer would be something along the lines of, “really. how so?” “tell me more.” “that’s interesting. can you elaborate?”

I doubt he knew Kasi was on ATWT. That's how clueless he is....

Gotta love her praise of Marland and Calhoun. No wonder ATWT was so successful during that time. So much praise for them by so many cast members.

He might have had more successful partnerships with Gloria Monty and Allen Potter at GH and GL, respectively, but I truly believe Robert Calhoun was the best EP Doug Marland ever worked with.

(Actually, the same might go for Calhoun's working relationships with Pam Long and Nancy Curlee at GL.  The guy was just a damn good producer, period.)

So many things not discussed, like Jessica's uneasy relationship with her family, that really intersected class, Jess's relationship with her father, in particular. So many missed opportunities to go beyond the superficial aspects that most people can get from Wikipedia and IMDB.

How much of the interview will just be about Real Housewives, anyway? 🙄

I doubt Alan knows she was on the show.😂

Eileen has done more of these soap podcasts and live streams and she is technically still portraying these characters, so I expect her to be a bit clearer on her character(s)' history and she will stop and correct Alan if he's wrong about some things.
