The Oprah Winfrey Show

Interesting. That commenter is probably right about it being a broker's stunt to attract buzz for the property. But the original story also said she was looking up in Rockland County. Maybe the broker has a listing up there too.

If it was true, I understand Jersey, it's suburban Manhattan where you can get a bunch of house and a bunch of space, but personally, I'd go with the NY or CT burbs.

Yep.

It really reeks of desperate sales strategy.

Something is fishy there, we'll see how it develops.

Now one of the commentators is suggesting she should build a mansion in Bel Air. Good call. :)

It's the angle, she'd probably just sat back in the chair. There's been a lot of coverage on the news last night and this morning, and her breasteses weren't looking all pushed-up like that.

<span style="font-size:120%;">The economic argument for hosting Oprah and her huge entourage seems clear-cut. There's been a $6m outlay from the federal, New South Wales, Victorian and Queensland governments, and Qantas. In return, it is estimated that Australia will receive $100m in international exposure. Not a bad few days' work. More complicated is the Aussie response to her visit, which has been like a presidential, royal and papal visit all rolled into one. Of course, much of all this is the usual media hype (what was it that Walter Cronkite once said about Australia having too many journalists and not enough stories?). But politicians have been tripping over themselves to appear alongside Oprah, and have helped give this the feel of a state visit. Prime Minister Julia Gillard was even on hand in Melbourne on Friday afternoon, when Oprah appeared in the city's Federation Square.

It all creates the impression that Australia remains still a country that craves international recognition, and continues to suffer from the occasional spasm of cultural cringe, an ingrained feeling of inferiority.

"There is a huge underlying cringe factor to her trip," writes the journalist Judith Ireland on ABC's The Drum opinion site. "It's embarrassing that we care about Oprah like this and need her so much."

This Roseanne show today is good. The Iyanla show on Wednesday looks juicy as hell! Looking forward to that one.

Sarah Chalke is beautiful.

I bet that's what Meredith Vieira looked like in her younger days. She's a good looking older woman.

<span style="font-size:120%;">During her 25th and final season of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Oprah has been revisiting key figures from the show's long and storied history. On Wednesday's episode, we'll see Oprah reunite with her one-time sidekick Iyanla Vanzant for an in-depth look at the dissolution of their professional relationship.

In case you don't remember, Vanzant was a frequent guest on "Oprah" in the '90s. An inspirational speaker and author of a plethora of self-help books like "Faith in the Valley: Lessons for Women on the Journey to Peace," Vanzant was one of Oprah's underlings before Dr. Phil, Nate Berkus, and Suze Ormand found themselves graced by her Midas touch.

In 2000, she was listed as one of the 100 most influential black Americans by Ebony Magazine, and Vanzant had her own show in 2001. It was canceled after 6 months, and she was seldom heard from again as a result of her estrangement from Oprah.

Apparently, the estrangement was the result of Vanzant making a demand of Oprah that seemed like an ultimatum, and Oprah does not negotiate with terrorists gold diggers anyone, because she's Oprah.

We can't wait to get the full scoop on Wednesday's showdown. It looks like things are going to get heated as Vanzant begs Oprah to hear her side of the story.

Wow! People have always said Barbara Walters was a huge bitch and, you know, I believe it, but WOW....

TR: In your book, you wrote that Barbara Walters asked you to promise to call her if you ever needed anything. Have you made that call?

IV: I saw her once at the Emmy Awards, and she didn't know who I was. I had to remind her who I was. It would probably make absolutely no sense whatsoever for me to call her. And I will give her [this]: Barbara said to me, "I feel like I have ruined your life. You know, you were doing so well. You know, it's like I stepped in and created all of this for you."

And I said to her, "Well, I agreed to it. So you can't take responsibility. Nobody has the power to destroy my life but me." There is nothing that I want from any of them. I don't want anything from Oprah. I don't want anything from [iyanla producer] Bill Geddie. I don't want anything from Barbara Walters.
