Members dragonflies
Friedman also included this ATWT tidbit which we have yet to verify: "For fans, there is a small bright spot on the horizon. Cable channel SOAPnet will begin airing old episodes in January." http://www.welovesoaps.net/ I so hope this is true ETA: sorry should have phrased this as a question, can a mod fix it? Thanks

Members dragonflies
I hope this happens, I'd love to have old episodes on DVD
Members Cheap21
why would they air old episodes of this when they dont even do much for the soaps they already have? Does anyoen really think Disney would pay for the rights to ATWT episodes especially since they already have announced that the channel will be shut down? Members dragonflies
I dunno, maybe they want to air some till they go off the air, that would given them a good year or so right?
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I'll believe it when I see it. SoapNet acquiring soap-related content when the network is due to go off the air in a year?
Members All My Shadows
For real. Why would they air old episodes of ATWT, a soap from a rival network that attracted older audiences, over wall-to-wall Brendliciousness? I almost resent these people for making statements like this because now SOAPnet is going to be bombarded with "Why aren't you showing old episodes of ATWT?!?!?" mail, just like when someone randomly said that Hallmark Channel would air reruns of The Doctors. Come on, people, you have to remember soaps' place on the hierarchy.
Members sheilaforever
"old" episodes would be 2006 or onwards, anyway
Members dragonflies
P&G didn't always own the show did they? Would their still be a big licensing fee for older episodes?
Members All My Shadows
As far as I know, PGP has been the one and only sole producer of ATWT since day one. TeleNext is just another name for PGP.
Members P.J.
I mean, I hope it's true....but it's completely out of left field. If it's not true, that reporter is the worst asshat ever. However, might it be the reason PGP is removing their eppys from Hulu next month? Members DAYSjunkie1987
It would be awesome if true, but I'm not holding my breath. Especially with Soapnet now living on borrowed time. Even if it were, it'll probably just be crap from the last few years. As for PGP removing the episodes from Hulu next month (and not just ATWT, but GL and AW too), please tell me they'll still at least be available on Youtube. Members beebs
Aaaand it's been confirmed as untrue by PGP/TeleNext. Also, they're apparently being taken off YouTube AND Hulu as well from what WLS says too?

Members Ann_SS
When I have spare time, I have been watching AW on YT so I'm disappointed that those episodes will be removed.
