Members R Sinclair
I almost want this "red headed stepchild" to get canceled already. That way, when it's announced that a television network is doing something incredibly abnormal as develop.... TELEVISION SHOWS... we don't have to hear the same "OLTL's GONNA GET CANCELED!" panic alarm.

Members Quent
Hey, I'll take any talk show where there are an equal number of views. Watching four liberals gang up on Elizabeth Hasselbeck every day is not my idea of entertainment.
Members bellcurve
Pretty sure Sherri Shepherd leans Conservative on most issues, especially social issues.
Members R Sinclair
Good news! The View isn't a political show (gossiping about Heidi Montag's surgeries?!?!)! For God's sake, I'm sick of people going on about the liberals "ganging up" on Elisabitch as if this show is Meet the Press. The one you should feel sorry for is Sherri Shepherd. Four women who know the world is round ganging up on the one who thinks it's flat... and that Christians predated the Greeks. They only disagree with Assholebeck... but they've exposed Sherri's inexcusable ignorance. Don't get me started on that one.
Members Cheap21
Exactly and Elizabeth gives back just as much as she gets. In fact she tends to instigate most of the arguments on that show with her ignorance and stubborness on issues. I wish people wouldnt feel so sorry for her or any of the other women. Im sure Bill Getty encourages the fighting and arguments. Its done wonders for their ratings and they all know what they are getting into bc its not like this topics are just dropped on them on the fly. They brief and talk about where they are going to go with things before they go on air.
Members quartermainefan
Huh? From anything I have seen, what happens on the View is the bimbo spouts off her talking points she picked up from watching the previous night's Hannity, and then people look at her like the idiot she is while she refuses to answer any question with specifics and promises to "look into" and "research" things and get back to you. How she got a job on a talk show is a mystery. But she isn't the only offender. The woman who can't say for certain whether the world is round or flat, the one who claims torturing dogs is a cultural thing...they all shame themselves on a regular basis. Members OLTL_fan
So Im guessing the cancellation rumors for OLTL will stop when she show is gone for good in a few years.
Members bellcurve
Save for David Gregory's primate face and his biased interrupting, The View WISHES it was as awesome and as highly regarded as Meet the Press.

Members bellcurve
I like network news for the glamor, the dollar signs, and the pretty graphics and production values. Not gonna lie. I don't have cable, so I don't watch any of that stuff. Love Diane Sawyer, love Nightline, love the roundtables(esp. Meet the Press and Face the Nation). I've been too tired to try to catch Amanpour on This Week though. She comes on at a strange hour here. Katie Couric sucks. And I hope I can say this without gratuitous photos and innappropriate innuendo being posted shortly after, but If we're talking news "porn," definitely ABC News over all others. David Muir, Bill Weir, Matt Gutman are my top three in the shallow hot d00ds categories in that order. Honorable mentions to Jeffrey Kofman and Rob Nelson. I'm not sexually attracted to chicks, but Bianna Golodryga is just stunning. Could watch her read the news all day. A hottie from another network is the guy who is newsreader for CBS's Early Show, Jeff Glor. And the Weather Channel's Jim Cantore deserves a nod because he has aged well. Give me an hour of crappy packaged news pieces and breaking news stories in the afternoon anyday over another View clone.
Members All My Shadows
It's just weird because I've never known anyone who is interested in the news from an entertainment standpoint. Yeah, there are those who are unhealthily obsessed with politics so they watch all three network newscasts and keep the TV on their 24-hour net of choice, but I never thought of news as being in the same arena as other TV shows in terms of backstage drama, etc. As for this show here? Lame as hell. Bars and tones would be better.
Members Sylph
News can be fabulously entertaining. Non-US channels too, like the BBC or La Chaîne Info (LCI), for example. Glamour, however, does not exist anymore, bellcurve. It's all cheap bling.
Members bellcurve
Oh, I definitely watch for the political opinions/biases/etc., but alot of why I watch news is for the entertainment value. Diane Sawyer is great at fun, sensational news-reading and interviewing. She's a throwback to 1990's Connie Chung. I often wonder if they just brought her on to keep the seat warm for that midget Stephanopolus, who I definitely don't wanna see on World News anytime soon. YUCK. Nightline is just fun because of the stories that get you thinking or going before you go to bed or before you go out to have drinks on a Friday night. I'm glad that show is doing better after selling out from the dated Ted Koppel format. And the roundtables are great because of topics and specific panelists I want to see. BBC's Katty Kay is always insightful and fun on Meet the Press and Chris Matthews' syndicated show, Rep.Debbie Wasserman-Shultz from FL is a damn basketcase who is always rolling her eyes and blaming Republicans for everything including her diarrhea. I just wish Maxine Waters would go on one of these shows and take out her knife. Bob Schieffer had an amazing debate about a month back between the Tea Party and the NAACP and whether the Tea Party was racist. The twist? The Co-Founder of the Tea Party who appeared on Face the Nation was black! It was great watching this somewhat civilized discussion between the two people and before they could really get to the crux of the issue, Shieffer had to go to commercial. I so wished Face the Nation wasn't a half-hour. Someone should trim Sunday Morning by about 15 minutes to make some extra discussion time happen. And of course, I forgot...love 60 Minutes. Specifically for Andy Rooney.
