Y&R: Character Death?

Featured Replies

Wow that is sick and worse than Chance dying. So his brother who KNOWS he's his brother is going to shoot and kill him?! How will Nina (and Christine!!) cope with that? It ruins any chance for me caring about Ronan. I grew up with all those gay little Phillip's! Geez. I grew comfortable with Chance dying, but this just ruins it for me.

I wonder if Chance will really die. Maybe Chance fakes his death and Ronan is in on the plan. Chance could secretly go to Australia to live with this father to get away from the people who are after him. This could be MAB's way of honoring history by having Phillip's son fake his death like he did 20 years earlier.

Christine will cope by shoving her tongue down someone's throat as everyone tells her how awesome she is.

This whole story is already so F*CKED and tiresome. It's extremely boring and crappy (seriously, have we ever cared about the whole investigation thing? Someone going after Heather? That sh*tty romance of Chance and Heather?) - even for current Y&R standards.

And yet they find a way to make it even more appealing...

It doesn't sound like Chance is really dying. It is probably a set up. I do like Ronan and Chloe, better than Chloe and Chance or Chloe and Kevin.

It really seems to me that he will not die. It's just the writers way of trying to create buzz. They must be having electric fences around their actors and crew in order to protect the outcome.

So you think those evil Australian cattle rustlers will be behind this?

They should stunt cast some of the hotties from McCloud's Daughters.

Could Ronan be "double crossing" Chance in order to save his life? I believe it's a ploy. This would totally ruin the "finding Nina's missing son" story. We've been waiting 20+ years for her to find him -- that's like 100 years in soap time. (And it's not even a made-up son Nina secretly had before she came on the show.) C'mon writers don't screw this up! Please? I'm on thisclose to start watching again in the fall.

If only the bullet could go through him and hit Heather in the fae. Obviously she would have so much damage that she'd need complete facial renovation...And come out looking like Vail Bloom again.

Yes, Errol, you are correct sir- Y&R made a trade, colossal error, Found Nina's long-lost son, who we haven't heard from since birth and decided to kill off the son that we watched (partially) grow up on the show, business decision that John Driscoll's Chance should be killed off for storyline purposes.

Hopefully, he gets Ronan's heart but I'm not holding my breath.

Didn't Thom Bierdz post something on his Facebook that indicated that Chance was going to die?

No, Thom said no such thing. All he said was he had some

"emotional" scenes, and people started jumping to the conclusion that Chance was being killed because of rumors about Driscoll's departure.
