You are right, John is gross. He has always looked dirty and unkept. He was never put out their to be the show's eye candy or stud.

He & Amelia need to get married.

Their honeymoon can involve sending to a spa where they can finally wash their hair

This is so horribly superficial of me, but who finds John hot? I mean I live in a smaller city, and he seriously wouldn't get a second glance at the bar here...

But you're forgetting the last time they did this. Ford.

Well, that's why I put hot in quotes... I find ME quite hideous, but apparently someone out there finds him at least somewhat attractive. And for him to last this long on the show, constantly on the frontburner- and through half a dozen failed romances (Kathryn if you can even count her because she was the worst character/actress EVER, Nat, Evangeline, Blair, Marty, and probably many more to come), a failed family (Shannon, Eve, Michael)... it is quite amazing that he continues on the show. To be quite honest- it would be easy to write him out of the show. No family, no ties... and let's face it- he wasn't hot before, but he's definitely not aging well.

As for Ford- I actually don't mind him... and don't even really find him to be attractive. But maybe that's just me...

- WTF Alert: Why is Kelly barging into a mens' steam room, fully clothes, and blithering on again about her "case?" Just let Cris and Rex alone in there - I was thinking they were going to give daytime its first gay sauna scene.

- Darren's brother has been going by "random cop" for weeks now. Today they said his name, and I think it's "Price," which I assume is his last name. Note to writers: Characters need to have first names - even the minority ones! Oh snap.

- I actually like Todd and Shaun together. Can they be friends?

- Shaun just said something about Tea telling him that Todd "didn't want to show people who he really is," and I couldn't help but think this may be another reference to the upcoming

Two Todd's storyline.

- I'm trying to like Darren, but he just annoys the crap out of me. However, I do LOVE how Destiny treats him. I'm liking Destiny right now. She's acting the queen for sure, and her treatment of Darren is rather hilarious. But I'm not seeing a romance here at all.

- Kelly, either take your clothes off and make these men happy, or get out of the mens' steam room! Go call your son - if you remember he exists.

- I still don't understand how Melinda "got in Eli's way." Really, Kelly? How did Melinda get in his way? She was locked in a damn insane asylum!

- I really do hate Eli. He needs to go. Like, now.

- Isn't it amazingly lovely to have an entire week without Gigi? Did you notice how the episodes go by faster and are more entertaining when she's not on? It's true.

- For a minute I thought Price (or is it Bryce?) was working for Eli, but I guess not.

- LOL! I don't want to be mean, but I could not stop laughing when Billy Warlock appeared as Ross. Bless his heart, but he is SO miscast.

- How can Warlock be expected to navigate Ross' dialogue which refers to several plot points in the last convoluted Ross storyline? I feel bad for the guy - he's doing his best but it's just unfortunate. It's really a shame that Michael Lowry couldn't come back, because the Blair/Eli connection would have been a nice element to have in this lame storyline. The recast just makes the whole thing seem even more silly.

- Ross definitely seems to know what's up with Eli's shadiness. And he seems fine with it.

- Destiny to Darren: "You need to quit while you're not even close." Great line!

- Destiny and Nate's bonding was very nice, too.

- How is Blair and Eli's marriage legal? He is using a fraudulent identity, and they don't seem to have any paperwork going on.

- I want Todd to kick Greg's ass.

- Okay, I did like the Price (Bryce?)/Darren bonding in the steam room. That was sweet.

+1 to all of this.

i forgot Kelly even had a son. Why isnt he in town with her? I knew he was in boarding school, but he cant even come back during the summer? Did they at least right it into the show that she felt it was too dangerous to have him in town?

That writer is funny. Here's some other funny lines and intersting points from that week

Monday

- Blair's rationale for eloping with Eli is idiotic. I seriously want to reach into the screen and slap her face. Eli has "never been married before" and so he's scared to get married in front of Blair's family? Seriously, Blair? Your brain is a piece of fried egg, biotch.

Tuesday

- I really liked Vivian on this episode. It seems like someone got a directive this week: "We have black actors and we need to USE THEM! The Evangeline fans are PISSED OFF!"

- Oh my, I sure am NOT missing Gigi. But I AM missing Roxy and Marty. And where is Nigel? Still serving tea to Renee up in the attic?

- The babies aren't coming until February Sweeps? That seems SO far away, doesn't it? I'm still pulling for Ford/Jessica and Brody/Nat as the parental combinations.

- Ewww. Enough with James harassing Starr and Cole. Seriously. We like this kid - he is appealing. Why are the writers trying to make him annoying?

Wednesday, 8/25

- Langston seems to be annoying Dorian as much as she is annoying me.

I've said it a million times but I'm not stopping anytime soon: Langston and Ford are NOT A REAL COUPLE. They are disgusting together. The abusemance had come and gone and it has GOT to stop. TPTB are glorifying the treatment of women as used Kleenex (it's so obvious that women are not writing this show!). The writers are smoking some really bad dope if they think Ford/Langston can be turned into a "love story." Just typing that made me barf in my own mouth a little.

- Blair's stupidity is really difficult to watch.

- Funny how Todd and Dani leave the country without even turning off their lights or packing a single item.

Nope. Though she was hired by Todd at the Sun cuz he admired her blog she wrote about raising him so much. (It musta read kinda like "today I made sure to send some money for lunches to my son in boarding school..." I definitely see why she was hired for her journalism skills)

Who knows what type of blog on parenting would please Todd.

Kelly in the house! Zorro called today. Asked me if I knew who he was. I said yeah of course, everything I do is for him, and those stretch marks were a bitch. Hung up cos Adriana was waiting, wanted to send me some free stuff. Wish Mom were here..."
