Makes you nostalgic for Carolyn Hinsey repeatedly demanding AMC hire Alexa and Bruening back immediately and give even more stories to Zach

Well not really.

I still read DC, and enjoy some of their writeups. My opinion of them was never really the same after the "Auntie Ri Ri" nausea, but then, that's just me. At least they later admitted there were problems with some couples they once loved, like Rex/Gigi.

I stopped reading Branco months ago but the whole look at me stuff and the OTT blind items and the whole David Canary thing and the constant going back and forth to the point where you would get a migraine

Fight! Fight! Fight! LOL! Whatever the story, I'm glad that Jamey isn't getting along with Nelson. I remember when posters would rightly call out Nelson on DC, Jamey would passionately defend his BS. I'm glad Jamey is getting pie in the face. It is well deserved.

LOL! I doubt Nelson ever looked like that picture.

At least Hinsey had the good sense to only get sloppy drunk and abuse underlings/molest the talent while she was offline. It took years for all the [!@#$%^&*] on her to really come out. If Hinsey had come up today she would've been toast much sooner.

I do wonder what set Jamey off. Seems to be something about a BI from Branco but I haven't noticed anything that points to DC.

A few days ago, Nelson posted a blind item on his twitter that one soap blogger was a ghost writer for Victoria Rowell's book. Then Nelson deleted it a few hours later. So I'm guessing that was aimed at Jamey Giddens. But I doubt that alone would set off Jamey. Something else must of happened too.

Oh, that's probably at least part of it - I think I saw some sort of very strong reaction to that line of questioning over on DC a couple days ago. I say so what if he helped write it (I hope he was compensated)? But if so it probably should've been disclosed. Wait, no, I'm an idiot, the whole point of ghostwriting is ghosts. Sorry, it's been a really long week. This is why they're big time Internet journalists and I'm not!

Memo to Nelson and Jamey: If you're going to fight like soap vixens, then at least be entertaining. In the meantime, learn from the masters. (Ladies? You're on!)

Yeah! this whole thing went to head when some poster( who was making different accounts)on Daytime Confidential, was questioning Jamey about him being involve with Victoria Rowell book. So Jamey replied. This is not Nelson Bronco site it me and Luke site and if you have any question ask Nelson, since it was his blind item.

Indeed. She's grown into her divadom (as far as roles are concerned). Maya was an ingenue, not even a Jr. Diva really.

Wait, so *allegedly* NB was implying that JG supplied VR with more dirt that was fictionalized for her book?

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
