Unlike his sister, Eddie Alderson has a fighting chance to get work post-OLTL. Puberty has been rather kind to this kid so far.

It has. He used to look a lot like KA, but he's getting really handsome. Give him a couple years, he'll be on some Gossip Girl-like show.

I'd be for a Matthew/Destiny pairing also if the show would just acknowledge the chemistry the two actors have and just go there.

And that's the thing. Shenell still isn't great, but they have great chemistry together, so it kinda works. It's almost like Shenell's acting choices are really just a part of the character of Destiny. It works. TPTB are blind to not do something more there.

EA is my favorite younger actor on the show. Unlike most of his contemporaries, his acting is honest, he doesn't rely on flashy tricks (or a gym body for that matter), and I find the writing for his character entertaining, a nice guy with a prickish streak. He deserves better and more.

Eddie has surpassed Kristen, IMO, who's become prone to bad habits. I never thought he'd be any good but in the last two years he has suddenly become the best young actor on the show. It is beyond me why he is not showcased. He is their Jonathan Jackson, albeit with some lighter fare thus far. And he elevates Shenell Edmonds, who is clearly most at ease around him.

The sad thing is based on what ABC did with Kirk Geiger and Chris McKenna, if they actually cared about the Buchanans at this point, they probably would have fired Eddie Alderson and cast one of the Edsels as the new Matthew. So one of the reasons Alderson is still on the show might be due to ABC seeing him as non-threatening.

It was weird a couple of weeks ago how OLTL had Eddie walking around shirtless while Nate stayed dressed & it's surprising James & Nate both have been clothed so much so far compared to their big brother Spongebob Squaredome.

Well, both Lenny Platt and Nicholas Robuck have lost their shirts, and they both have pretty nice bodies. But that's what they're there for - anything beyond that is dumb luck at best, yet the show is trying to pivot large stories around them as though they were leading men. I think Robuck/James has potential for the future, but he isn't exactly Peter Bergman acting-wise. Lenny Platt's just creepy, pecs aside. I don't think they kept him in that cabana boy outfit for weeks just for continuity, though.

And no, Eddie doesn't have those guys' type of body. In those scenes Deee mentioned he just looks like a normal teenage kid with his shirt off. I think they see Eddie as a normal, non-threatening kid, a realistic teen, and that's why he was dumped by Dani; it's strictly plastic hunks like Nate for the young 'stars.' But they're forgetting what made them fire Greg Vaughn and rehire Jonathan Jackson.

As a counterpoint, I thought they were making an issue of it a few weeks ago when Robuck and Brandon Buddy doffed their shirts in rapid succession. BB just looked rough and out of shape next to that guy. I'd still hit it, I like normal people, but really, next to Nicholas Robuck there was no comparison.

Just thinking about it makes me want to go all out and become a full-fledged shipper, and I rarely call myself a shipper. It is TIME, America. It is PAST time. They need to happen. I wish daytime was different so that I could know it would be done right. The long, drawn-out conversations those two could have...
