I can see why they didn't go the aunt/niece route. It would make Jess Walton "seem" too old. I think they like to give the illusion that Jill is perpetually mid/late 40s.

that makes no sense considering they brought back Thom Bierdz who played her son last year and he's older than Bregman. Philip isnt that much younger than Lauren, considering he has a grown son in his late 20s, who also happens to be Jill's grandson. Jill a grandmother to a man that old in her 40s? Give me a break.
