I never liked Ryan so I don't know if I would have felt differently with Steve Burton, but I think he would have been out of his depth.

Yes, Zach was Taylor's brother.

Given that Steve Burton is a slightly better actor than Scott Reeves, that is one thing that would have been different. I think they would have probably changed the character a little bit to fit his range, which makes me think that Ryan/Nina would have never happen. Also because he has been playing a dark character on a dark show like GH for a long time now, It would be interesting to see what Steve would be like on a more Sophiscated show like Y&R

Thanks for confirming Zach's character on B&B. I can't see Steve on B&B.

Steve was awful as Jason Q and only OK as Jason Morgan early on when he got to rage and pout. I don't know how he would have dealt with Heather Tom. I guess you never know.

Who was Zach on B&B? was he Taylor's brother that was on for a short while, that also got involved with Felicia? If so Steve would have been too young for that part.

Interesting fact is that the actor, Michael Watson, was also on GH where he was also involved with a Felicia

Y&R wanted Kim Zimmer to play the role of JoJo last year who Katherine was her daughter. KZ turned it down sighting it was only a 4 episode gig.

Paul, I'm pretty sure that Deborah Goodrich did appear on Edge for a few episodes as Hollace, but then left and was replaced.

She should've done Y&R instead of going to OLTL.

ITA Echo is not needed and they screwed up history by brining that character back

Not to mention how her "relationship" with Charlie ruined the character.

Christopher Cousins tried out for the role of Hunter Guthrie on OLTL but turned it down as he felt the role wasn't challenging.

When Joanna Johnson told B&B she was leaving in 1990, they began talks with Genie Francis. She seemed to think they'd gotten pretty far; they said it was just preliminary. Either way, she went to AMC.

At that time in 1990 GF also read for a recast as Sarah Gordon on OLTL but took AMC cause it was a new role

Bennye Gatteys read for the part of Leslie Brooks before Y&R went on the air. They cast Elvis movie star Mary Grover, who had a lot of musical comedy in her background, instead. Grover was canned because she could not play the piano though she could sing wonderfully. Janice Lynde stepped in and was of course, brilliant. Bennye was one of the worst re-casts IMHO as Susan Martin on Days. What a dip and how do you replace Denise Alexander? They should have just had the character move away.

A friend of mine went to college with Andrea Moar in the mid 70's and he had told me she tested for Amy on GH before she got Carrie on AMC.
