Robert Foxworth auditioned for OLTL's Clint & YR's William Bardwell

Really? Kind of surprises me, he seems like the type who would see soaps as slummin (well, particularly One Life while I have an easier time seeing him taking the Y&R gig).

It surprises me too.

I can't see him as Clint (although I can't see anyone but CR as Clint) but he would have been good on Y&R.

In spring 1990, when Brian Fitzpatrick got the recast role of Rick Alden on Loving, he mentioned that he'd previously gotten close to winning the roles of Max on OLTL and Jamie on AW.

i could see him as AW's jamie not sure about Max On OLTL

Speaking of Ben Warren OnGL was written for James Depavia

I haven't seen him...ever, actually, but I don't know if he would have been any more of an odd replacement than Nick Walker.

Yeah, they cast Walker solely on his chemistry with Fiona Hutchison... but beyond that, there was just nothing similar to DePaiva. They actually passed on Richard Eden (ex-Brick Wallace, Santa Barbara; of ABC's "RoboCop" primetime series) - who I thought would have been a really good choice.

AF Is the only one that has backed this up

Granted i don't watch AMC that much but i know Bianca and all can i say is someone must have been on something when they thought of Adrianne! she is good as Amber, but Bianca would have been a terrible role for her.

Nick Walker is so patrician, he would have been better as one of Viki's Lord/Randolph cousins.

A Soap Opera Magazine item from April 1994 has GL's casting person Jimmy Bohr talking about when Leonard Stabb had been cast as Hart. They were very fond of one of the runners-up, David Case, and brought him back for a small role (according to IMDB he did some acting/directing up to 2007). Another runner-up was Shawn Christian, who would soon be cast as Mike Kasnoff on ATWT.

Noelle Beck, Kimberly Simms tested for AW's Vicky in 94 when JB left briefly as did Ellen Wheeler all three got a no

That's too bad about Kimberlee Simms. She would have been dynamite as Vicky, far better than the awful Jensen Buchanan.

I LOVE Noelle Beck but she would have been all kinds of wrong as Vicky. I'd have liked to have seen her take on Amanda though.

Adriene Frantz says AMC was interested in her as the Bianca recast in 2010

I'm pretty sure that role was written for Philip Brown, who was actually cast but had to quit because he had problems memorizing all of the lines.

Frantz is a legend in her own mind. If you listen to her talk too much, your ears may start to bleed.

No, it was actually written with DePaiva in mind... but he ended up staying with OLTL. They then cast the role with Philip Brown, who never made it to air because of what you mentioned (among other things rumored).

When GL went off the air and Frons was trying to get the heavily hyped stars, Marcy Rylan was apparently wanted to play Marissa.
