Reading through the Megan McTavish memoir so kindly posted in the AMC thread, she claims to have dissuaded Felicia Minei Behr from recasting Tad with Chris Lawford. 

Capitol Jon Cypher was originally to play Sen Mark Denning but Ed Nelson was chosen at some point.

I'm a fan of Cypher's, so I would have LOVED to have seen what he would've done with the role.  Not that I thought Ed Nelson was terrible, lol.

Claudia Lamb (Heather Hartman on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman) recently said on bluesky that she auditioned for Terry Farrell's role in Paper Dolls.

According to Daniel Cosgrove, he was up for the recast of Jack Brennan, which ultimately went to Chris McKenna. (x)

I keep thinking about the actors considered, wanted, or rumored for Passions when it began. So many of them seem overqualified. I'm also thinking that some of the characters were made younger by the time the show premiered.
