June 9, 201015 yr Member David: You're breaking up with me Jake? But writers, when you can't say Cracker Jacks, the joke is DOA. Nice young Tad-like move there Damon, though a veteran schemer like Liza could certainly flip you taking half-naked cell phone pics to her own favor. So Ryan's MacGyver too... * * * I could care less about who's in the opening, who's not in the opening, blase blah, but I do not like the stylistic choice ( ) of how the opening just abruptly *happens* these days. They should really bring back the vamp. Such a simple and effective way to draw in the audience, it was a non-verbal, "Uh-oh, here we go y'all" that even made not-so-interesting stories seem a little more exciting. June 9, 201015 yr Member I didn't see the very beginning of the show, and I'm only half paying attention now ( ), but I've caught some little tidbits. LMAO I didn't hear David say that, but I was actually thinking it myself. Jake is pathetic. And so is JESSE! Oh my God! Who in thee blue hell is letting this lady run a police department!?
June 9, 201015 yr Member Are you serious!? Did they just shoe horn a music video into the show? A montage is one thing, but to show song, artist and record label information in the corner of the screen like this is an episode of 106 & Park is another. 3(Tsk).
June 9, 201015 yr Author Member If they wrote him more competently, something like letting your best friend's little brother have a moment with Heyward would seem like a cool gesture. But it just makes Jesse look like an even worse C.O.P. What the hell is this random music video crap? Looks awkward and stolen from (and done better in) primetime.
June 9, 201015 yr Member I tuned in at 1:30... Bad move on my part. Liza is now all of a sudden concerned about people's opinions of her? Seriously? When did this happen? Oh, I get it. This is 1998 Liza. The one that doesn't want to disappoint a Martin now Tad deems her worthy, again. I think I need to change my banner. I don't support this bitch. I found her to be so pathetic with Colby, later, as well. "Are you going to be with Damon?" Liza, you're young, hot, with a body to kill for, and you're obsessing over your daughter and her boyfriend? What did I miss? I assumed David was arrested for assaulting Jake? Why is Angie ANGELA acting as if David's going to spend 5 years in prison, giving her enough time to implement changes that he won't be able to override the minute he gets out? All of this finger pointing, giggling, kicking dirt on the boy with cooties is really obnoxious. Rylee... JamanDUH... x2 "I can't believe it! Tomorrow we're going to be married -- even though we're already married! " "Me neither! I can't wait to marry you, even though we're already married! " Does this couple really need a week's worth of episodes building up to their fake ass non-wedding? The song was perfectly fine. The music video-slash-montage made no sense. Usually videos have a concept, which this was lacking. Usually montages have a theme... which this was lacking. Anything good? I found it nice that Greenlee remembered she had a husband. Being that I missed the first half, I don't know why the hell she wasn't down at the station immediately, so I'm reserving total judgment until later.

Yeah, what was up with that!? *shakes at AMC* Did Casey Childs direct today's ep? I noticed some quick zooms in that music video/montage. LOL
June 9, 201015 yr Member Did Casey Childs direct today's ep? I noticed some quick zooms in that music video/montage. LOL Hype Williams directed.
June 9, 201015 yr Author Member Yeah, she was there in the beginning R., then she went on and left. Agreed to the Rylee but I thought it was nice to see Greenlee giggle for a hot second, like she needed that regardless of the man who she happened to be sharing it with. The guy singing, do we know who he is, was he on the show yesterday or something? It was just so random and they kept doing that lame stilted zoom in zoom out from the floor.
June 9, 201015 yr Administrator Hype Williams directed. He did? It wasn't in widescreen and there weren't any secondary shots in the top and lower bars. LOL

I think Liza's more worried that she'll lose Tad just when they're getting close again if Damon shows him the picture of her in her underwear rather than caring what anyone thinks of her. When Tad showed up at her door, she had Damon hide while she got redressed but he snapped a photo of her on his cell, then threatened her with it after Tad left. Liza pointed out that if Tad hadn't shown up, Damon would have slept with her. That was the highlight of the episode, imo. David was handcuffed and arrested for hitting Jake, then Jake hit him. It was just awful how David had to threaten to sue with witness to force Jesse to arrest Jake, too! How Jake can get away with it and David can't is just beyond me. Rylee sucked as usual. It looks as though Ryan has forgotten he was even interested in Madison. That music video at the end was sooooo bad! A montage to that song would have been fine with the artist's name in the corner, but they had to show the guy singing and then a random series of scenes, some from earlier in the episode even?!?!

That's what really made me go !! We lost 4 minutes of actual story... for that?! I was literally left with a feeling of "Um... What was that about?" when they faded out this episode. I've never seen a "montage" like this before.
June 9, 201015 yr Member Starting to really dislike the show again, and it has nothing to do with the music "montage" at the end. Although that certainly didn't help.
