Yes, I think that he was the only person in the cast who had appeared on a soap opera.

I think that the actress who played the owner of the station may have appeared on a soap opera later - after this show. But I may be confusing her with a look-alike actress.

In between The Secret Storm and WKRP, Gary Sandy appeared on a primetime syndicated show called All That Glitters. Louise Shaffer (The Edge of Night, Where the Heart Is, Search for Tomorrow, All My Children, etc.) and Lois Nettleton (The Brighter Day) were also in the cast. I would love to see an episode. It did not air in the locality where I live.

From reading the 10 part write up on the show, Susan seemed to be a fascinating grey character. My mom loved her especially when Judy lewis was playing her. She didn't really like Amy, but loved Belle.

Robert Loggia was the second actor to portray Frank Carver in 1972.   He has passed away.   I hope to post an obituary later.

I read that David Russell based his soap within a movie (Joy) on The Secret Storm.  You can tell it in this clip.

Madelyn Sherwood, who appeared on The Secret Storm in the 1970s, has passed away at the age of 92.

I don't remember her from The Secret Storm but I certainly remember her in The Flying Nun and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

I didn't know she was still alive. She was very charming on Flying Nun. I know Sally Field spoke highly of her.
