There was a long long time I wouldn't have said that, I mean 1 yr. ago all I was thinking was get her off the show, bring back Mia or something. But as soon as they cut the crap in Pratt and LoBro came on, and she saw JY and MCE had chemistry for the longest..I have never been this invested in Annie until she started clashing w/ JR. Who would have thought they'd be this hot, I mean they can be a supercouple on AMC. I truely believe that.

With that said, she needs stability as a character, there can't be too much up/down, left/right, hot/cold ..sometimes Annie confuses me and that's hard to follow, I know who Greenlee is, I know who Liza is, I know who Erica is, I know Angie..I knew Maria, Brooke..she's different. And through JR I hope we get to know who she is.

JR shouldn't be inflicted on any woman. How many women, including his Sainted Babe, has he called bitches, whores, sluts, skanks...? He has this deep seated hatred for women that ever so easily pours out of him the minute one of them pisses him off.

Perhaps, but not as long as they continue playing house with Scott and Marissa. AMC's attempts at creating family drama w/ those four @ the Chandler estate without any multigenerational element whatsoever is the very definition of "ridiculous."

I agree, I think the four is a start, but it's almost like The Real World or college dorm drama for that matter with these four contemporaries dealing with each other. And Adam alone wouldn't have even helped that much. Dixie's walking around heaven all day, but if she was still here and moved into the mansion to mix it up, along with visits from Marissa's dad David (as if they even have a relationship  ) along with one of Annie's parents that she moved in (I don't know if they're dead or alive) that could all add to the dynamic, plus A.J. and Emma will be teens before you know it.

I was watching very sporadically then, but do you remember when J.R. was played by two or three different guys between Jesse M. and JY? I ask because I'm wondering what he was like then. JM's J.R. could be a little [!@#$%^&*] at times, but JY's J.R. was the nicest guy in the world until as I've said before Babe ruined him with that Paul Cramer crap. I maintain that St. Babe was the worst thing that ever happened to J.R., her betrayal brought out every unsavory character in the man whether they were laying dormant or not. His father treated his mother abominably, Brian and Tad were kind, good influences though Tad couldn't keep it in his pants, but little Adam should always have the best of Dixie in him and it's sad that it took sickness for us to get a glimpse of that again.

I reluncatantly agree. I love JR and Annie's chemistry but they are only good for a temporary, hot steamy affair. I cant see them building a relationship out of this. Marissa is probably his most stable relationship but too bad she's so darn boring

JR, Babe and Paul Cramer all come on around the same time... so that was a very small window of Nice JR before the crap hit the fan.

As for the Jonathan Bennett and Andrew Ridings versions of JR, Bennett's JR was dealing with Dixie's death and Ridings' JR was chasing after Bori -- I mean, Laurie and crushing on Kendall. JR really wasn't fleshed out then. Largely due to Bennett's lack of hetero-believability, and Ridings' horrendous acting.

He's a jerk to everyone eversince that whore Babe, after that it was downhill, the bitch cheated on him, robbed his kid w/ his sworn enemy's knowledge, then ran off w/ the kid, while his friend Binx was trying to protect the very same whore, the very same whore that pass her kid off as her own and told her it was dead, his brother, step-father, whore of a mother in law also joined in on the fun, his step dad Tad told him Dixie wouldn't have wanted him to have that baby, that she'd be ashamed of him...time passes he deals w/ her return only finds out it's Aunt Di, he's loses his mother all over again, she returns eats pancakes that determine her fate over Babe's or Kwak's...the best thing to ever happen to him was Babe dying via tornado, even w/ that we suffered having her name brought up daily as if it were the new letter of the day. Then Amanda helps his sworn enemy in getting him to fall off the wagon, to steal his son..excuse me if JR is a little cranky in life towards anybody.

I think it's a question of what kind of woman does J.R. even deserve, and how is he willing to change/how will she change him. I think Marissa would out-bore a potted plant, I can't see her being paired with anyone and make for an interesting couple. But I agree that she's been the most stable for J.R., her heart is in the right place. I think J.R. needs a cool, spunky girl who will not hesitate to put him in check and who doesn't have an Achilles heel like mental illness to be used against her. Sort of a Gina Tognoni character on her best behaviour.

Gotcha, thanks. Ohhh, so that's when the Kendall thing started. I remember when JY's J.R. and her were f-buddies trying to figure out if there was something deeper.

And yes indeed, it was a couple of short months at most of nice. I just remember him coming back with this renewed energy and optimism (in hindsight, setting him up for the big fall).

She and Liza got closer when they were dating the Martin brothers. They havent had much to do with each other since Tad dumped her though. Still Liza hasnt burned her bridges with Jake and Amanda and unlike some of Tad's other friends and families, they dont have anything against her

I'm beyond sick of hearing JR call Annie a "whore," "bitch" and "skank" every other word and I REALLY hate hearing it from Colby.

JR is just one of the many men on ABC who needs a woman to go straight up Buffy on his ass. I don't mean the soap cliche of the spunky, feisty spitting kitten. I mean that he needs a woman to whoop his behind like he stole something.

No no no, maybe Kendall minus the neurotic stammering, equipped with the patented Brooke English backhand, but Kendall can't even keep her own self straight. J.R. needs to be schooled, he needs the kind of woman capable of shooting looks like the ones your mom did when you were acting up in church. Actually? ... someone more like Liza I think.
