I go through cycles with my feelings on Damon... and right now, I'm totally grossed out and annoyed by him.

I hate to say this, but I've been rather bored last week and this week... I'm sure the 'slowness' is due to writer transition (maybe?), so I'm ready for things to kick up. This is May Sweeps after all!

I always forget about Walt's gross tatoos...

Ohhh I like the Erica/Jack fighting scenes! Susan is rocking it!

I do agree, however, that this May Sweeps hasn't swept me away.

I actually spent the last half hour on the phone with the DMV. Nothing is keeping my attention.

Erica being more precious to Palmer than his Nina? Don't insult us. That should have been worded differently.

I can't say it enough, Erica vs. Greenlee is tired and inappropriate, I hate seeing Erica go back and forth with this little girl! They are not playing on a level plane. Erica doesn't need a young rival to stay relevant, and I don't care that Jack is in the middle. I don't buy this Greenlee and "my father" stuff anyway, her relationship with Jack imo is still rather new and they have her acting like this man raised her and they've had this loving relationship since birth. They barely have it now.

Tad was being a dirty boy. Looks like he's jealous at what his little brother has. Haha.

His comment about Amanda just came across as very squicky

It was so wrong. Yet, I laughed my ass off.

That was the cad part in Tad making it's appearance again.

Who really blames him though. Look what he's got to choose from. KWAK and Liza. Just the attitude from those two is enough to turn anyone off.

I felt bad for Amanda - in the normal world, I would think she'd be way too pissed off and embarrased to even care about being proposed to. But eh, oh well.

Yeah, I'm ready for Erica's storyline - I need something new.

Thank you. That's due to McTavish. She creates insta-families. Someone finds out they have a long lost brother/sister/father/mother/son/daughter... and within a month, they act as if they've had a longstanding, historical, deep connection. And I, the viewer, am left like "these two just met/found out about each other a month ago....!"

With Tad and Damon, although I hate it, I can tolerate it more because Tad felt a connection to Damon and saw himself in Damon before he ever found out he was Damon's father.

With Jack and Greenlee... hell no! The two barely even had scenes together (if they ever did) during the four years she on the show before the reveal. It was just an odd, egotistically driven choice done by McTavish.

I don't think it's so much about Greenlee and Jack having a great relationship as it is about Greenlee seeing Jack as yet another of her possessions and as some sort of fantasy version compared to the horrible life she used to go on and on and on and on and on about. It's hard for me to ever see her as actually caring about much of anyone.

I agree that all this fighting between them is ridiculous and age-inappropriate. I think it just shows up the lack of interesting female characters on the canvas. Why not have Greenlee and Liza fight, or have Greenlee go after Annie, if the show needs female rivalries. In the old days they had Erica as rivals with Brooke and Natalie around the same time and they were two very different types of rivalries.

I agree, I am objective enough to put my changing opinions of Damon aside and see that Tad always saw something in Damon and has consistently tried to make a difference in this kid's life. Nor has Damon done anything truly nasty to Tad or shown any resistance that wouldn't be natural coming from a young man towards an older man who is essentially a stranger.

Carl, I see what you mean about Jack being a "possession," I can maybe get with that. I do think RB is doing a good job of playing this sort of "This isn't really what I want in life but I'm fighting just to fight otherwise I have nothing to do and I will be miserable" kind of thing. That look she gave when she was hugging (hugging, not kissing) David really said it all to me.

Since Brooke and Erica tolerated each other last time when Brooke was in town, I think Mary Smythe would be a more appropriate rival for Erica these days.
