Members Khan
True. But it isn't the same as, "Hey, we're in Jamaica, so let's just get hammered, then get married! PARTY DOWN!" +1. Frankly, what Billy needs (and perhaps, what I need, too) is a good, old-fashioned, tear-jerker of a love story where his beloved dies in the end from some horrible disease. Sort of like Ridge on B&B, except, in this case, this maturity that comes from helping, and ultimately losing, her battle w/ death actually sticks. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Billy needs to get late-stage syphilis... But I'm sure we'd get people saying, "Billy Miller is making SYPHILIS WORK! WE SHOULD ALL GET SYPHILIS NOW!"
Members DRW50
Someone at Y&R is going to get confused and say that fans are demanding Billy/Phyllis.
Members Khan
In a way, though, Billy and Phyllis are made for each other. He got married while on a drunken bender in Jamaica; she tied the knot while waiting for her next margarita at a country-and-western bar.
Members BadZoe
Even if the divorce is final isn't there a 6th month waiting period. I remember Victor had to get a judge to give a special order so he could marry Nikki on her death bed after he divorced Diane, maybe that order applied to all Newman's. Not that I care whether these two useless characters are legally married. This show is such a waste of time.
Members ian
Question: if Patty is indeed going to kill Emily... Has any other character in a dual role killed the other one? That would be something to orchestrate, something these hacks will inevitably screw up... but - I can't think of any actor who's played a dual role that has murdered their doppleganger. Have you? Members DRW50
On Dark Shadows, Alexis Stokes arrived at (parallel time) Collinwood, and many believed she was her twin sister, Angelique, back from the dead. After a few months, Alexis, Quentin, and Cyrus went to Angelique's crypt and opened the coffin. Angelique was in there. Alexis asked for a moment alone to say goodbye to her sister once and for all. When she touched Angelique's hand, it was warm, and Angelique revealed that she was in some sort of suspended animation and could come back to life through absorbing the life energy of others. She then drained Alexis of her life force, and put Alexis's body in her coffin. Posing as Alexis, she asked Quentin and Cyrus to burn "Angelique" so they could all move on. That whole story was a lot more entertaining than any of this stuff has been.

Members MarkH
Even Phick had that. They married in the southwest (forgetting details...Nick had to put out a forest fire first...then they married in that diner...later one of the cowpokes 'Rocky' resurfaces as a GCAC waiter who dated Colleen once). But then they remarried again in Genoa City to make it "legal". I remember that Scott Seymour's Billy Abbott attended that, and was rude to Gloria. Ah, fragmented memories... Members DaytimeFan
I must be one of the only people who liked Scott Seymour's Billy Abbott. He kept the f**ked up quality David Tom gave the role, his Billy was uneasy. That was also Seymour's lack of acting experience, but I really think if he'd stayed a year under the instruction of Jess Walton, he could have really matured as an actor. Members DRW50
So Mark do you enjoy Billy/Victoria?
Members MarkH
Billy Miller, the man, is a walking party. Billy Abbott, the character, has become Billy Miller. I'd complain about that, but he's truly the only remaining spark on this death march of a show. So, I'll express gratitude and move on. Oh, I had no problem with Seymour. He was WAY more of an *sshole than either David Tom or Ryan Brown, and that was fine with me. Messed-up Billy the gambling addict would have intrigued me. But, for whatever reasons, LML cut her losses with him right away. Yup. #Billtoria! For the reasons mentioned above: ( a ) Billy Miller is about the only time I have fun with this show anymore. Even Elizabeth Hendrickson has been reduced to some simpering cherry-buster. Gloria is now never around to wave her evil claws. So, the fun factor is almost entirely missing. And ( b ) related to this, I can only TOLERATE Heinle in scenes with Miller. Again, she's not-Victoria...she's some wan, weak tissue-doll that I'd rather would leave the show. But since she seems to have lifetime tenure, I'd rather see her with someone who can draw something out of her. Lemme say, too, Y&R gave me a bit of what I wanted with JT yesterday. At the start of the episode, I was thinking "How did JT turn SOOO squeaky clean? No REFERENCE to his bad boy days." And then they referenced it, but in an intriguing way. There he was, in his GTO and his leather jacket, and we had some reminder of who he was, and that it's still "there". But what I really liked was the ending. He looked at Reed...AND he looked at Mac...and he sort of acknowledged that he'd evolved. His domesticated self was built on the structure of what he once was. He'd left the bad boy behind. But the hints are still there...and maybe a threat to his loved ones could still awaken him. I know there's much dislike of this low-energy Mac. She is really RESTRAINED. She always was, but moreso since she returned from Darfur. THERE'S AN UNTOLD STORY THERE, and I wish they'd tell it. The false note, of course, is that JT's GTO was part of his story with Colleen...not Mac. It was so short-sighted to kill that romance and character. I'm looking forward to seeing Adrianne Leon as a new bad-Brooke Lynn on GH. I haven't given up on my hope that the whole story since at least Colleen's death (maybe since the Chipmunk, or maybe since Cassie's death) is all a dream. Members Cheap21
Billy Miller is a good actor and I loved him on AMC and he could have been good as Billy on Y&R but the character is too much of a douchebag. It just doesnt fit and the writing for the character sucks. He is stuck in a gray area bc he's not quite a villian, but he's not a hero either. He probably would have been better off just coming on the show as a villian bc his potrayal as Billy doesnt fit well for the character She had a lesbian experience and her low key attitude and failed relationships since have been an attempt to hide the fact that she's gay. At least she didnt pretend to kill herself
Members Juliajms
Obviously, I'm not Mark, but I am enjoying them. I like both Vikki and Billy more than most of the people on this board and I think they are cute together. Much like Sharon and Adam, I like them a lot more when I can forget the background involved. They've slutted Billy around town a little too much for my taste. This isn't 1979 and it's not as easy for viewers to see that kind of behavior as harmless boy's will be boys fun. Plus, they've made him have real feelings too often in a short period of time. First, he really loves Mac. Not being with his true love Mac has turned Billy into a heartless cad. No, nevermind Mac, it's Chloe, she's his soulmate and the only one who gets him. Err, no, no,it's Lily. Billy loves Lily and she's the only one who can bring out his decent side. OOPS!, actually it was Mac all along! No, it's Victoria, yes, that's it Victoria! So while I do think Billy and Victoria are a decent couple that I like to watch, the writing undermines what might have been something good, if it had happened in a different way.
