Members DRW50
Oh no I was hoping she'd get to be in the final episode, since she was in the first. She was such an important part of television for millions of people, and she always had such an understated yet effective emotional style. Her relationship with Mac really touched my heart. I'm so sorry to hear this, and to her friends and family and all her co-workers. Will they have time to address this on the show? At least Helen is with her husband now

Members Juliajms
They better. I also want her to say the last words on the show, even though it will have to be via flashback.
Members Bright Eyes
Wow, this really surprised me. I didn't know she was even remotely sick. Rest in Peace to a true television legend. I think it would be fitting if Nancy's death filled the last week of the show.
Members DRW50
WLS has some clips up, but this is the one I've gone back to for months now, the 30th anniversary, when Helen Wagner and the cast sing "Always." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeGrE--nCKU
Members edgeofnight
My good friend, Dagne Crane, who played Sandy Hughes, the 2nd Mrs. Bob Hughes from 1965-1971, kept in touch with Helen over the years. No doubt I will be speaking to Dagne in the morning.
Members Eric83
Oh no! So many daytime legends have died this year. They have to incorporate into the final scene of ATWT somehow. RIP

Members Eric83
They only have a month left of taping If the bastards at CBS werent so greedy and evil I would hold out hope of them giving the show at least 3 extra months to handle this situation. So sad.

Members DRW50
I don't cry over people I've known most of my life but I do over someone I never met. I guess so many of us did basically know her. Each time one of these legends goes, I'm more reminded that daytime is also gone
