I totally get what you mean regarding the Emmy's...I love to watch them for the same reasons as you. And also, it's not everyday that you get to see all the soap stars in one red carpet, one room, all together like you do with regular celebrity's pretty much everyday. I find it exciting.

Oh and I'm rooting for GH, to...and also DAYS. I think those two will garner the most nods\wins this year. Can't decide which should win best Drama though..

It is weird that they are airing on CBS, but I am just so glad that they are airing!

If Days submits the episode of Nicole vs Sami they have a good chance. However, they should submit right after Grace dies.

CBS happened this year because we kicked ass last year on the CW. Was it low rated? Yep. The CW is a low rated network. Our show did 122% better than what they normally did on the CW. This is what CBS saw and certainly what Las Vegas sees. Why Las Vegas? It ain't cheaper.

I don't even know if I want any of the soaps to win for 2009. It was a pretty shitty year. I guesssss OLTL kept me in the most, but when it fell from grace, it FELL long and hard. It doesn't deserve it for 2010, that's for certain.

Last year's show was awesome, and I'll gladly take another one like it. Maybe they'll even be able to get a live band this year. I want to hear an easy listening version of Wendy Williams's theme song, damn it!

GH deserves to win Best Series because it WAS the best in daytime. Period.

The way GH has pushed for quality through broadcasting in high definition is astounding and wonderful. GH is like a modern day Citizen Kane or On The Waterfront. Visually(which is part of best series, not what was well written or non misogynistic, etc.), GH excelled on every level. That alone should secure the show, not only a nomination, but the win.

Associated Television International (ATI) produced the Daytime Emmy's last year and is producing it again this year.

The last year I see Dick Clark Productions credited as producing the Emmy's was 2004.

Sharon Gabet?

Henry Slesar(posthumously)?

You're dreaming. They probably don't even know what The Edge of Night is. Maybe an upcoming Twilight movie?

WOW! Thank you for the LOL!

I agree about it being visually great, but that alone should not mean it wins beat show of the year.

GH was a utter disaster last year.
