Kiki had a beautiful family scene. I enjoyed it. KiKi needs to become a main next season.

Julia needs help. Everyone looked so lost and confused at her outbursts. I thought it was funny until the drink got thrown.

I liked how Guerdy handled herself. But I would have left.

What story did Kelly have? A non-restaurant that never opened. A divorce that nobody cares about. A falling out with B**t E***y? Tons of debt behind the scenes?

If I were producers, she would be a one and done.

Angela carried the season on her back. And she and Charles are going to be reunion all stars.

That "reveal" was a major...WTF. It fell flat to me. 

Phaedra doing this actually makes no sense. She had been filming less than a month, she hardly knows Angela, so why would she do this? Several of the cast were clearly thinking the same thing.

@Antoyne's Friend did his best to have a moment, but whew, Charles Oakley was not having it. 

When Phaedra was on WWHL tonight, she said to a bewildered Andy "Make it make sense." I have to concur. It was probably Britt and all the miles on her mouth.

Drew and Ralph...WTF? After all this crap he plays the piano and they high five?

Kelly is full of crap. She was separated while filming was ongoing. She could start her new business anytime at that point. There are so many allegations flying around about unpaid rent, unpaid employees etc. 

Overall, a fair to middling season of ATL. I'll be curious to see how the reunion shakes out.

That said...WORTH THE WAIT! Collectively I like them all. My favorites are Alexia, Larsa, Steph for giving ole school Nicole's taglines right down to the delivery, and Lisa with the model walk and the slight hair toss.

I finally had some wiggle room so I got time to watch this (and OC, spoiler alarm...incoming thoughts! hehe) past week episode. I was so worried about the Lisa stuff, but it was pretty minimum, but I still had a light cry. Poor her.

 

I really liked it. While the focus was the build to Marysol and Steve's wedding event, I liked that it was pretty easy and breezy with stuff going on. And it was the little things. Kiki and her conversation with her mother over her father. Adriana and Julia sitting down and discussing their friendship. Guerdy talking about her insecurities with herself post-cancer. Marysol's long journey to finding someone. Mother Elsa. Everyone else be making up stories on HW shows for attention. These ladies...just have to be themselves. THEY are the story. 

 

Probably why Julia's attempts to be a Heather, Chanel, mean girl stands out so much more. It's fake. It's phony. And she's showing all of her a&* for girls who originally didn't even want her there. So watching her try to bully Guerdy...even after Adriana gave her fair warning...was disgusting to see. 

 

And as for the drink throw that I've been waiting to see? And they call GUERDY extra??? After all of that??? After all these ladies have done on this show? 

 

Failed attempt. Failed ladies. 

 

ALEXIA. She actually came arcross well this episode. Though Production and her friends continued to pick on her for being dogged out by Todd. I liked her doing this for Marysol. That said...I know she's not talking about anyone being extra when she's the QUEEN of EXTRA. GIRL, BYE.

 

LARSA. I can't with her. She finally got back in good with Lisa...under for her to start that mess about Jody at the wedding event. And after Lisa just found out her father died. She has to know Lisa is going to find out. And that is going to be some mess.

 

LISA. Poor Lisa. I felt for her with her father.

 

JULIA. What was she thinking? No wonder Adriana does not want anything to do with her cuz HUNNI WHAT IS THIS? She came across as Karen. And she clearly did not get the hint of microaggression Guerdy threw at her when Guerdy said...what you going to do? touch me? And then the drink toss? DISGUSTING. I was glad Guerdy not only told on her about the facelift, but stayed there and stayed UNBOTHERED. It said it all at the end that Guerdy was having the time of her life while Julia was a total sour face. That's what you get when you aim for trying to be Minion Number 2 when you will always be Minion Number 4. 

 

GUERDY. Better woman than me. She might have been snatched up. I cannot believe Julia was trying to play a victim. And worse, I cannot believe the other ladies were just going to buy into that false narrative. I love that Guerdy defended herself. She told the truth. She refused to be pulled out as if she was the one being violent when she was not. She threw shade. She was...UN...BOT..HERED. Come correct next time, babe.

ADRIANA. Thank you for your little warning to Julia. Even if it fell on deaf ears. I loved she was tic for tac-ing every Julia attempt to play victim at that brunch.

@Taoboi I just came back from a long-awaited vacation and caught up on the last two episodes of RHOM. (I also caught up on the RHOA finale, but since reunion is tonight, I will spare you my thoughts. Needless to say, I agree with all of you about Angela, think that next season needs proper OGs like Kenya and Nene to return. Kelli & Brit need not apply).

Firstly, I was willing to give Julia the benefit of the doubt. Not every fight between two HWs is black-or-white. I can see how Guerdy's personality might grate on some. She's always ON, her VTs are a mene machine. She's hustling for her business, hence why she might have rubbed Julia the wrong way on whatever the heck this Bravo Cruise thing was.

However, underneath all that, we have seen a vulnerable, authentic woman over the years. She is not a bullsh!t artist. This year, Guerdy is at her most vulnerable, with her recovery, her reconstruction, her self-esteem as a woman. 

Some friends are there for a reason, and some for a season. I think Julia and Guerdy were never as tight as Nicole and Guerdy, and they grew apart. And when little things about the other started to get on their nerves, it exacerbated everything. I also think Guerdy never hit it off with the other women, which means she is largely isolated.

Julia's assault on Guerdy was cruel, targeted and unacceptable behaviour. Julia was not drunk, Julia was looking for a moment. Guerdy sitting there in shock with wine dripping all over her was an image that stuck with me, because you could see how badly she'd been blindsided by a friend.

On that note, Julia's slow edging out of Adriana is also quietly painful to behold. They've been friends, off-screen, for a decade, and the fact that she would cut her loose for a bunch of fairweather castmates is ugly. The fact that Adriana was not invited to Marysol's celebration makes me think that Alexia-Marysol-Larsa have commandeered Julia over to their side. They targeted Nicole last year, and now she's gone; this year, they want to edge Guerdy and Adriana off the show. This will be absolutely ruinous for RHOM which has a lease of life today it never had in its 2012 incarnation. And that is down to the dynamism and chemistty of this cast. If another two people go, I honestly don't see the deeply boring and vapid Larsa driving the A storylines on RHOM. Lisa vs Larsa is doing little for me thus far. They need the others (especially Adriana and Team Newbies) to keep the cast chemistry thriving. 

Speaking of Newbies, Stephanie is an interesting addition thus far. Im trying to figure out if she actually has Money-Money, or whether she and her husband have indebted themselves to get a spot on the show. I'm thinking she has actually coin. I also enjoy her quirky, ladylike, 1960s-esque style.
