RHOP

Now that I got wiggle room. LOL!!!

I know it is still early in the season, but this episode (and the clip from next week) was great. The season still was maintaining its freshness and the amount of newbies is shifting the dynamics in a good way. Add on all the FOHs running around (personal note...loving seeing so much of Vivian who has always been rumored to be a HW for years), this season has been giving vintage RHOA and S2/current RHOM for me when we had cast, husbands, FOHs, side characters and I don't hate it.

What I do hate...is LA DAME. Yes, I said it. I wanted to sit on this for a few days. I know I have long discussed here my views on lost parents. And I've long done battle with people over La Dame's. However, as someone who has lost a parent, if anyone was going to understand where Gizelle was coming from, it would be her. I felt she would support her, if leave early due to the memories that might come up. What I DID NOT EXPECT was her to be at a party at the same night AND time as Gizelle's fundraiser. Worse of all, when I'm on Gizelle's side...1) Hades has frozen over and 2) you are very, very WRONG. I can't and won't defend that. And yes, I saw La Dame's group text telling the ladies to go to Gizelle's already. That...was NOT cute. Moreso given how much support Gizelle has been giving La Dame for her DUI so far. They were in a good place and now she might have frakked it up.

LA DAME. And to think she started the episode so well. She and Gizelle had deflected onto Messy Mia and her event did not take a toxic turn. Gizelle and her continued to be the best HW frenemies duo out there throughout the episode. She even got to introduced Wendy's Friend New HW Keiarna. So it was sad to see that NEXT DAY blackout, and La Dame pulled that move. I just smh. Even her close friend Vivian went to Gizelle's fundraiser. Granted no one raised a gun to their heads, but La Dame knew the women loved her more than they do Gizelle. Though I understood why Wendy and Keiarna did not go. Meanwhile, I still feel the feud this season is definitely going to be La Dame vs Messy Mia.

GIZELLE. Like I said...Hades froze over because I found myself on her side throughout the episode. If someone disrespected my deceased parents...which was still raw on her mind...I would be the same way. I might be even now. So Gizelle continues on her apology tour. Speaking of that, I DO NOT at all appreciate that Production ended the 2-hour blowout between her and Wendy down to a barely 2-minute weird scene. After 3 years of feuding and viciousness, they needed this sit-down, and I was glad Gizelle gave the olive branch in the first episode. I was looking forward to it. And only to find out...Production does not want to give us THE REAL. Then why the frak are we watching??? Gizelle being accountable...which is the ONLY way the whole fanbase will ever be on her side...is what people REALLY want to see.

ASHLEY. You ain't slick, Forehead!!! Well, I guess it's nice to see Ashley back in play. And by back in play, I meant that she was being messy. She knew the ladies were running late and allowed them to come anyway outside of Gizelle's wishes. We see you!!! And I was shaking my head at Stacey for giving Ashley all of her information knowing that Ashley will probably use it against her.

WENDY. THANK YOU, WENDY!!! For? Dropping the sit-down tea. Otherwise, I would have watched that scene funny like. I also liked that she stayed at La Dame's event. She figured the ladies would not get there in time and also I hoped she sent a note like what she said in her Confessional.

MIA. She is really going at La Dame in her Confessional. So funny she still went to La Dame's award event though. Meanwhile, her crying at the start of the episode and then getting over it once the girls tried to cheer her up is sooooo vintage Mia.

STACEY. BABY KENYA!!! hehe. I soooo agree @Cheap21. She so looks like Kenya's circa RHOA S5. Some of her looks. Her mannerisms. Her vibe. It just favors soooo strongly. And they are both from Detroit, too!!! Some people online say she favors Toya from M2M, too, and I can see it. So far? I love her. She has a friendly vibe, interesting backstory, and potential personal storyline. And she has taken a very Garcelle's first season of BH approach to everything, and I like that. I like her. And she fits in perfectly with the cast so far.

KEIARNA. YES. lol. Those confessionals...GOLD. Cuz her saying she was not going due to what happened the last time she went to a Gizelle event...see? A queen who can laugh at herself. Meanwhile, Gizelle already shading her by not inviting her to La Dame's bday event. Hmmm. So far? I love her as a HW, too. And she also has an interesting backstory and personal storyline to tell. And she feels a natural fit in the cast as well.

YES, PLEASE. Can't wait until next week.

Happy to see this group find one so YAY!!!

Monica has been talked about or seen on every episode. They refuse to move on from hr which leads me to beleive Monica's previous claim that they were trying to bring her back towards the end but that was blocked by Heather and Lisa. It feels like they are planting the seeds for it and its a shame it wont happen. I hope she at least filmed a secret scene with Whitney whom Im sure would definitely do so as she'd want an ally against Lisa and Heather

Heather is such a pathetic pick me ho will betray anyone to get in good with Lisa. I LOVED Mary calling her out for being a liar, especially that black eye. GOOD! She got to skate past that too easily and not be held accountable

Bronwyn is giving us real story. I was not expecting that dramatic turn but she is giving us that in addition to the comedy. She's a winner

Who isnt though is Brittani. She is pathetic. Oh and Osmon is another John Jansen. He didnt have to come and film a scene but he wants to be on tv too. He's using Brittani but they are using each other. Get them off my screen. I actually think she could have potential had she not made him her entire identity but its draining. I was with Mary when she told her to leave us out of their drama. No one cares

Oh how I hollered at RHOA S12 enactement of Kenya showing how Nene iced herself out of the group. lol. Go, Angie K!!!

That said...I agree. The fact LITTLE GIRL was the one who hit it on the head with her conversation with Adam from UpOnAdam...A BLOGGER...how has Lisa doing what they all were doing with Monica's page just last season any different than now? No reason for Monica to be gone then!

Agreed on both newbies. Despite the wacky, tacky costumes and Pee Wee Herman funhouse, Bronwyn overall is a likable person, stands strong in the face of hostile housewives, and I enjoyed the very real conversation she had with her daughter about her grandparents.

Brittani's schtick was DOA. Obsessing over the Osmond guy and their on-again/off-again relationship that no one else was really invested in knowing about, and when one person does (Lisa), she turns it around and blames her for causing more problems in the relationship. Granted, Lisa did take it too far with the texts and Facetiming, but Lisa was the only one in the group that showed any genuine interest (©Carlton Gebbia, RHOBH).

LOL at the 4 that went zip-lining and having a good time, and then turning on one another at their sad lil picnic setup.

FINALLY!!! I mean...YASSSSSSSSS!!!!

I was worried about the new theme since online opinion appears to be mixed, but you know what? I...LOVE it!!! lol.

Collectively I liked them all. Especially the newbies!!! Though I love Keiarna's more than Stacey's and she's second. Messy Mia, Ashley, and Wendy's taglines are good. But I found Gizelle and La Dame's the weakest. Shocking for La Dame because she usually has the best.

OMG Jim is dating Elizabeth! Girl was JUST on this past season. Bravo needs to bring her back next season so Alexis can get a taste of her own medicine. This is SO MESSY!

You really have to hand it to Jenn, she handed Tamra her ass and exposed her as a lying piece of trash. That Tamra swore on her children's names...I shake my head. No wonder at least one of them doesn't speak to her.

It has been a bad week from Tamra given the internet as a whole unleashed fury on her when she claimed that, after a single therapy session, she has been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and that it stems from trauma suffered 15 years ago. That's not how autism works...and the autism community let Tamra know.

As someone that was diagnosed with Autism at 3...after months of constant tests and Dr visits...I would have let the witch have it as well if I saw her talking about it.  People like her are why the Autism community is heavily discriminated against.

Jenn has her flaws, especially her lack of judgement concerning men....but she isn't a Gretchen or Alexis.  She actually pushes back

*GASP * NO, Taoboi, say it isn't so! Hate? Please don't say you hate Karen Huger!  She has disappointed you. I get it. For the life of me, I don't know why she would, out of the blue, do this. Obviously she's done petty sh!t like this before. I honestly think that Karen miscalculated. She may have thought this would be the usual, petty, 'duelling events' type stuff we used to see in S1. (Cue 5 straight episodes talking about etiquette). Instead, it's now become personal for Gizelle, and maybe parts of the audience who remember Gizelle's father and his iconic guest appearances (I mean, the tour of the plantation alone was up there with RHOA's episode in a township in South Africa. Also his hot mic moment about Jamal Bryant!). I imagine this drams will play for weeks. And weeks. If i were Production and Gizelle were my asset, I'd be thanking Karen for uniting most of the audience behind Gizelle for once, and helping to create a drama which prompted more viewers to tune in this week.

As for the show as a whole, it is harking back to the early, lighter seasons this year. That's probably a good thing.

For someone usually instinctively astute (if vicious in her execution).I am sort of stunned how badly Tamra has played her hand this season. There were signs of this last season when she went too hard at Heather and failed. I can't believe she thought ganging up on someone who had a DUI, has struggled with alcohol, and is facing lawsuits, would be a smart move this year. She keeps doubling down on her Shannon-hate, but now that her proxy Alexis has been almost run off the show, she's picked a fight with someone she thought would be the weak link -- Jenn. Completely underestimating how Jenn's naturalness and life story would endear the audience to her.

This 'autism' move is so ill-informed, I have to imagine Tamra is now worried for her job and is just throwing anything out there to see what sticks.

You're right. Hate was the wrong word. I was just extremely disappointed. I still like La Grande Dame. But her behavior...like the drama over her DUI case that happened online yesterday...is just making me shake my head. Moreso because I'm hearing good things online and you all about Shannon over on OC. Their DUI are night and day it sounds. And I looked forward to watching it play out when I am done catching up on OC.

I agree. As a whole...they are soooo back. lol.

    • OK, I like the Cat interactions with Xander and EJ. And, I get that there are new writers. But, Clyde was shot 12/11/2024.  So, why have we not heard Xander or EJ's response to the situation for five months!  Clyde shot EJ (or he ordered him shot), shouldn't he react more to the news of his coma.  And, I've never heard EJ or Kristin mention that the woman who lived with them last summer was a fraud. Rather than giving lip service to the idea of family and community, at least it feels like everyone no longer lives in a bubble.
    • I don't know if I could have seen that from her, honestly. But I feel like, outside of GH and her original DAYS stint, American daytime really didn't pay much attention to her, even though they should have.
    • Co-sign, 100% on this one. Xander was entirely in the wrong.
    • I'm seeing some interesting takes on this thread regarding Dani's behavior/personality, including right now. Here's my take on her: I think that Dani relishes in lighting people up. I think that's for multiple reasons.  I feel like Dani has probably largely been like this throughout her life. And that she gets joy in dragging people whenever she feels like it's necessary. I believe she feels like this is her being herself. I think one big reason why she's particularly giddy right now is because she's able to go back to acting this way, minus the hurt she's been dealing with due to Bill's affair. She got in Bill and Hayley's faces after their affair/wedding, but she was miserable doing it due to dealing with the hurt of that situation. Nicole's situation with Ted/Eva/Leslie allows her to act this way minus her suffering like she did at the hands of Bill. I believe she does empathize/care for her sister but is also interestingly enough rejuvenated by this situation. This situation is energizing her and making her act more like old self again, minus being hurt by her own's husband's infidelity. I think Nicole's situation is also a distraction for her from dealing with her own failed marriage to Bill.
    • Great episode, better than what the spoilers said. The gambling story was tolerable but Jon Lindstrom sucks in the role. Ambyr Michelle continues to shine. The diner and country club scenes were very well executed.  The Jan and Leslie scenes were very good! My favorite is Eva, now followed by Nicole.
    • Today's show was good. The only part I didn't care for were the Derek/Ashley scenes. I think they are bland together and Derek is very bland by himself. He is the least interesting character on the show IMO. I don't think they have much chemistry together. I appreciated Jan's reaction to Leslie. I like how regular/realistic her and Mona are as characters. Jan came across as very believable of being appalled and even hurt by Leslie's treatment of them and towards Eva in the diner.  Leslie continues to try and manipulate people with IMO her fake caring routine, only to show her true colors after she's confronted/called out for her treatment of others. I continue to dislike the way she mistreats Eva. Speaking of Eva she was great again today. I love her and I like how Martin comforted her in the diner. I liked that Vernon showed concern for her as well. They (especially Martin) will come around quicker to her before others (like the Dupree women) will. I also am glad to see her and Ted continue to bond and him behaving like a father towards her/helping her. He's the only one in her life who is fully trying to stand by her. I look forward to seeing their relationship grow.
    • Xander was screaming at Felicity.  He did do something wrong.  Felicity was clearly upset by it and Cat/Chad told him to stop.  That's fair.  No one deserves to be yelled at their job-and even I think this plot point is too preachy.  It's not acceptable behavior for anyone to do that.
    • When Derek finally appears with only a towel, and his chest and pecs/nipples are finally shown, I say yes.

    • Now, actually not. That thought had not even made it into my head, so, no, so far anyway, I've not seen that. Haven't seen today yet. What you're describing is warped & I think she's feeling genuine empathy & sister bond.
