I honestly didn’t expect Andy to show up at her house for a sit down. He hasn’t done that since Luann, my other favorite Taurus Queen.

Also depending on the casting for OC 20, I will more than likely be skipping it like I’m skipping next season of BH. I’m done hate watching housewives.

RHOC:

Bringing Gretchen back as a 'friend of' in season 19 reminds me of why I was happy when the show did a soft reset for season 9 when Alexis/Gretchen were let go and Shannon/Lizzie were added.

Sadly, Andy is out of touch with the world and viewers that I wonder if maybe he needs to be replaced by someone younger and with more perspective on what is popular in 2025 vs 2010.

OC20 will be a bust if there isn't a soft reboot.   To me... Tamra needs to be put on pause, Gretchen/Emily need to go bye bye, and Gina needs to be downgraded to 'friend of'.. and Heather can decide what she wants to do.. but she is so checked out.

Seeing part 2 of the reunion, I can see Katie's husband is the brains in that relationship.   Katie keeps making the same mistakes without really learning (i.e. bringing up tidbits like Shannon talking to the producer about firing with her only source being Jenn... the same Jenn that threw her under the bus during the season).

I almost want to have Katie being fired for not being smart... but I do admit I would like to see the Shannon/Jenn/Katie dynamic explored more and I think perhaps the show should scale back on the cast trips going back to the final cast trip being the only trip the women go on together.

I've never seen even 1 episode of Orange County. What season should I start... ? Are the first ones even worth it?

You can go with season 17. That was when Tamra returned and a good jumping point for the modern era. Season 18 was on fire and one of the best seasons across all franchises. I thought it was the best last year rivaled only by SLC. Every episode was a banger. Maybe 1 was a filler but even then it was a 7.5 quality

Vicky is the OG and what a way to celebrate 20 seasons!

Personally I think so, but I also get it if you want to jump ahead because there are so many seasons and the first 4-5 seasons look older.  It would be sad to miss out on Jeana and Laurie, but if you don't want to start from the beginning, maybe start with Season 5 when Alexis joins, and then Heather soon after. Otherwise Season 9 is pretty GOAT when Shannon joins, which is another good starting point.

That's a great suggestion. Thank you.

I may do this... since I don't know if I'll be able to watch 20 seasons one after another.

Another great suggestion. Thank you!!! Now I'll have to think more... let it sit in my brain for a bit before I decide. A part of me wants to start at 17, per @Cheap21's idea...  but I also heard that the first Tamra seasons were interesting too. I'm a bit thorn, but I'll just go with the instincts when I open the app.

@MaximIf you do want to jump in on season 17 (which is the start of the modern OC.. for better or worse).. you would probably be a little lost because it's dominated by a lot of Tamra/Shannon dysfunction that happened during that season so in order to get an idea on how that whole situation started.. season 9 is a good resource to watch in order to understand the start of the Tamra/Shannon/Heather dynamic.

When you get to season 18 and Alexis shows up as a 'friend of'... season 5 is a good resource point to see how she came onto the show and to give you context as to why she would go for a guy like John (Shannon's ex).

When you get to season 19 and Gretchen  shows up as a 'friend of'.... you would need to watch season 4 in order to get the backstory on Naked Wasted and the start of the whole Gretchen/Tamra situation.

@alwaysAMC is correct though that season 9 is another good place to start off because that was when the show did a soft reset/reboot and Shannon was introduced.

Many years ago, my late mom turned on OC by accident during season 8 and was so confused about the Gretchen/Tamra situation that I told her to start with season 4.. and she fell in love and binged watch season 4 through 8 before watching season 9 and becoming a die hard Shannon fan (and of course, she then went back to watch the first three seasons she missed because she became a fan of Jeana and to a lesser extent Lauri - the wallet whisperer).

Thank you to all three of you @Soaplovers @Cheap21 @alwaysAMC. I have a feeling I may jump into 4, just for the hell of it.

I most certainly will!

P.S. I am already waiting on the next SLC episode. I want it now... I miss my weekly dose of Lisa calling her husband waking him up with screams on the phone. I want to be that man's therapist for a day. If he has one. He definitely needs it for living with Lisa.

Last night I started Season 4 of OC. The biggest shock for now is how people looked pre-Ozempic and fillers. I love it so far.

    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?
