FINALLY!!! AKA my internet connection. S6 Trailer!!!

Can't wait, this looks good! A few observations: 1) barely any Heather, which is interesting; 2) Brittani doesn't seem to be a full-time housewife, just a friend again; and 3) seems appropriate that they're finally going to Greece LOL.

You have to keep in mind with Heather, Bravo did give her a spinoff so perhaps she was filming concurrently.

I guess the Britani thing was just a rumor. I'm fine with that. Glad she is back as a FOH in any case.

Same. lol. I can't wait to see it. In my Vacation Sightseeing By TV Era.

I finally got rest and rewatched last week. And...I don't get it. lol. I guess since I was actually enjoying my off day and running around, I had completely tired myself out. Because this was another nice, breezy episode.

For me, I liked all the individual scenes and the tea within (Dr. Jackie! Julia has a brother?). And I liked Marysol's Preppy party as the main event. Of course, these events would not be good without some great fashion (Lisa was IT, sorry not sorry). And feuds. And just the fact there were at least three going on (with a fourth counting Lisa vs Larsa) and they all decided they wanted to a cast trip.

Lord...lol.

The Adriana/Julia friendship breakup has definitely slowly, but surely taken center stage as THE storyline. And I'm curious to see how the reunion turned out. Because how Julia was moving this episode...hm. And good on Adriana for calling a spade a spade. And per the STILL TO COME...yep.

ALEXIA. Not Peter about to cause her drama over Todd!!! smh. But that said...watching her rivalry between Stephanie has been interesting to watch. I can't decide if it's a tennis match or just straight up chess. I do respect that Stephanie pulled her aside during the Preppy party, but that felt like a piggyback off Guerdy and Julia making up. Basic strategic. And I really wished that Alexia had taken the olive branch that Steph was giving her. Her talking about Todd is giving Lisa S5/6 now, too. Meanwhile, I was not liking her and Marysol ambushing Guerdy before the party off of Kiki's pot-stirring. Even if Alexia had a point (why would Guerdy want to be in this group if she feel they are a cult?), that still does invalidate Guerdy's feelings within said group...and they really have been trying.

LARSA. To the left, Hater. Lisa looked great in her 'Wednesday Meets Clueless' outfit. But that is why she's probably was hating. Cuz she gave nothing this episode.

GUERDY. I felt she was too on the defensive this episode rather than giving a good offensive. Last week, she held her boundaries. And I wished to have seen more of the same in that Alexia/Marysol ambush. Because it did not seem they were listening to her or her tears. I was happy to see that she and Julia had a more sincere talk. However, honestly, I felt she forgave her too easily. Moreso given Julia's Confessional where it's clear that Julia is being a show friend moving forward. And...DR. JACKIE!!! hehe.

JULIA. Look at her trying to get favor with Stephanie!!! OF COURSE!! RME. For me, she was at her best with her individual scenes honestly. I didn't recall her mentioning her brother. And VERY interesting on the tea about her family having issues with her and Martina's adoption. That was where the real drama was. Not so much seeing Julia the Clout Chaser. The aforementioned meeting with Stephanie. Her ki-ki-ing with Marysol who might as well be Adriana's worst enemy (though I'm happy Marysol and Adriana came to an understanding this episode). She just continued to be a bad friend to Adriana. And I thought it was telling when Adriana called her out in front of everyone in the most off-handed way and she wanted to grab at her pearls as if Adriana is pulling that out of thin air. Julia has been saying the same thing in her Confessionals this season. At least, Adriana will say it and throw hands to her face. I am eagerly waiting for this to come to a complete boil.

LISA. She was comic relief this episode. And I didn't mind it at all. Unlike some folk. *cough*LarsaFakeBooty*cough*

STEPHANIE. The jury might still be out. I think some of the online stuff has gotten to me. But she definitely is giving. She's being a straight shooter, and that's a good thing. Her scenes with Julia. Her sit-down with Alexia. Her dilemma about the plane seats. But I can't help, but start to feel she's putting on this episode. It makes it fun in the case of her rivalry with Alexia because it activates Alexia. And that Confessional with the toy dog was a hoot. Something just felt...off.

And...a DRUNK Adriana is a FUN Adriana. What you talking about, Marysol? 😜

Bring on tonight's (and tomorrow's) episode!!!!

I thought the episode was a god segue to the second half of the season. Building up to rivalries and a great cast trip (Seville IMO is perhaps Spain's most beautiful city).

Guerdy and Julia seemed to have repaired their friendship a little, but while Guerdy in her confessional hoped it was a new start, Julia seemed to indicate that for her, it was just a 'let's be cordial' band-aid. Guerdy was being pressurised by Las Cubanas throughout this episode and their meaning couldn't have been clearer: 'Are you part of this group or do we squeeze you out?'

Adriana just gets better and better in my estimation. It's the fact that she's not just a pretty face, but is also working on getting a degree. She has always been a lot more interested in many different subjects and areas than she lets on.

Stephanie 'interviewing' the cast to see who gets her spot on the private jet was insulting and yet perfect RHs. I'm going to give it to Alexia, I thought she was going to snap up the offer of a ride, but I too would have probably said "That's OK, I'd rather fly First Class on Iberia, thanks."

Julia's daughters no longer talking to Julia & Martina just because they decided to adopt is suspect, and sounds to me like there is a lot more to this story. It just doesn't track.

It's cute. I'm not getting a handle on any of the stories from this trailer, apart from the fact that Lisa Barlow is having marriage troubles. Nevertheless, last year was SO good, I will be watching.

Okay, time for me to finally add some commentary to this wonderful Housewives thread now that my work is having its usual August lull before we pick back up in September.

OC:

So that's what caused Tamra to "quit" for a hot minute? Obviously a mix of her emotions over please-don't-let-her-come-back-to-any-Housewives-city Terri, along with getting called out for her obviously flimsy lies about Katie.

Funny how the old adage of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" still rings true, as we saw that ever so brief triumvirate of Tamra, Shannon, and Gretchen, joining forces to take down the newbie yet again. Alas, it was short-lived because even Bible thumping Gretchen is smart enough to know never to take Tamra's words at face value; get the other side of the story and then decipher who's the bigger liar, which Gretchen nicely did.

Tamra definitely seemed "medicated" at the table, and her running off instead of owning up to her usual lies and manipulations was a great throwback to the oh so underrated one-season-wonder Lizzie Rovsek calling Tamra out for what she is and Tamra dramatically running way saying, "you'll never see me again!!".  She still dishes it, but can never take it.

Speaking of lulls, with some of our usual shows that we watch together being hiatus or ending (Goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw again... for now), hubby and I randomly decided to watch old-school RHOC and I finally saw the infamous "Naked Wasted" episodes and OMG the cringe factor was off the charts and it's no wonder my hubby has ALWAYS hated Tamra.

RHOC has its good episodes and ho-hum or chaotic ones where the alliances and friendships go all over the place. It's teetering into New Jersey territory but not completely toxic.

SLC:

Looks fun :)  Lisa in the hot seat with her marriage, but knowing Lisa, she'll cry and run away... Meanwhile, it'll be funny to see Meredith back in the mix with the women, doing her usual frenetic, malfunctioning Rosie-the-Robot tic when she gets hot 'n bothered. I've gotten used to her being the cool savvy mom to her whiny snowflake son on Next Gen NYC.

Side Note: I managed to watch all 8 episodes of that mess and I'm not sure what was the point. All I know is the girl with the horrible idea to open a bowling alley club looks like she never showers. That's all.

Oh, yeah. I really was not in the right headspace when I watched the first time. Mostly for good reasons though. While work continues to be full of politics, drama, and unneeded mess, I have been working on maintaining a peace of mind and deciding what that means for me. And part of that...was actually doing an actual off day. I did NOTHING...something I'm not used to lol...but go and ground myself (which for me lately has been sitting in the park), got some local food, indulged in my love of horror movies with IKWYDLS, and finally came home. All that running around tired me out, so I did not appreciate the episode. I was so glad I loved it the second time around.

And you are not wrong about Seville!!! I hope to talk about it later if I'm not too tired today lol, but it is breathtaking. No wonder Alexia kinda grew up there! The first episode of the trip gave the gondola trip last season a run for its money with the dinner at the end. Just madness!! lol. I haven't finished last night's (don't forget there's two episodes this week ;) ) yet because...well...my sleeping routine apparently has changed and it shows. But it was a good one so far as well.

Sidenote...Adriana was giving looks, hunni!!! There's this blue outfit that she had on last night. I could not take my eyes off her. 60? Where???

Julia meh. lol. But I do agree. There is more to that story. And that is far more interesting than whatever else she is trying to do to keep her spot.

I think you are going to love the dinner with Stephanie. :)

All I got from that trailer was that they were probably Heather's spinoff (ugh) concurrently. That said...I'm sure it will be another good season. Oh...and Lisa will have to be fighting for her life. Good.

IKR. People have been talking about it for years here. And one day, Bravo did a marathon and I was off work and saw it. My jaw was on the floor. Just woooow. So THAT was what you all meant.

First of all, you never can win when you play dirty. #workpolitics But now that I have the weekend off from what apparently is a shitstorm (and my phone is on DND)...

I did watch the first episode of the Seville trip. And it was my kind of mess so far. It looked like it will give just what last season's Mexico City trip gave...all kinds of crazy. The running jokes of Lisa running late (and her taking the whole episode to do her version of WHERE IN THE WORLD OF CARMEN SANDIEGO) alone is living rent free in my head...lol. And oh my God, the scenery!!! I said over in the B&B thread that I was looking forward to their remote because 1) I'm overdue a vacation and 2) I was sure it would be breathtaking. But this? Wooooowwww. I know @Cat is going to love this.

But there had to be a downer. And thy name is Julia. I can't believe her. There was already so much potential for drama. Lisa and Larsa. Stephanie and Alexia. And organically. Her attempts at pot-stirring/bone-collecting fell flat. And also came back to bite her on the ass from her being calling out by Stephanie to Adriana clocking her every chance she got. Loved every minute of it.

But thankfully we had the dinner. Peak Miami. The flamenco singer. Everyone's reaction to the flamenco singer. Stephanie vs Alexia which was vicious with both of them getting good points in. And like most RHOM (and oldNY) making up and moving right past it. The reactions to the fights cuz Adriana...I was getting my life, too. ;)

And then ending on Lisa (23 HOURS LATER showing up) was the cherry on top. It was a good episode from start to finish.

ALEXIA. See? Just when I could write her off, she stays giving. Her history of growing up in Seville (and the flashback pictures to her youth) was eye-opening. And her knowledge of flamenco music was really eye-opening, revealing a lot about who she is as a person. And then of course, her rivalry with Stephanie. I don't think Stephanie was wrong. Alexia is insecure and deserved to be rightfully called out for it. And not everyone is going to kiss the ring. Sorry not sorry. That said, Alexia got good licks in on her as well. And thankfully, mentions of Todd (who in real time is suing Bravo now) was kept to a minimum.

LARSA. Her and Adriana in bed on the private jet. lol. Lord. But they both seem so enjoyable for a change. Outside of that, she was kinda a hoot. Starting our Lisa in-joke. The video of Marysol, Guerdy, Kiki, and Alexia getting drunk on the flight with no Lisa in sight was hilarious and kept it going, too. Outside of that, she was just chilling. Oh...and what's the tea with her having a stalker now? What in the world...

GUERDY. 'Spain didn't see us coming, but we here now!' YASSSSSS, GUERDY!!! lol. Spain might not know how you all get down, but they found out at that dinner, hunni!!! She was background this episode, but when she had moments, she was good.

STEPHANIE. Now...who else believes that she upgraded herself and it was not her husband (who I can see why she wants to be around him all the time due to how they met allegedly due to that bod?)? I thought she gave a great showing this episode though. Her humor with Tomas, the front desk agent/bellman. Her seeing how Julia moved when they had not even united with the other ladies for a good five minutes. She cursed Julia out and rightfully so. And her fight later on at dinner with Alexia was great because she stated facts. That said...Alexia was not wrong about her, either. Stephanie is coming off as someone with no real friends who has to use her money to buy people into her friendship circle. It's a battle of alphas, but it's one I enjoy watching.

JULIA. Honestly? Pathetic. What she was saying in her Confessionals contradicted what she was doing. Two-faced. And when confronted, she wanted to deflect. I've enjoyed each and every moment someone called her out. Why? Because she was trying to also cause unnecessary drama when the vibe was supposed to be fun. Her tattling to Alexia over a vent (in two minutes of seeing Alexia) was horrible and very pick-me. Her trying to deflect with that 'attitude' comment to Stephanie as she was (rightfully) cursed out was weak...HUNNI. Not to mention her complete disregard to Adriana, her one and true ride-or-die. No wonder Adriana stayed clocking her in person AND Confessionals and also sat, watched, and drank watching people get Julia. Heck, even Production was clocking her. Speaking of...

FOH

ADRIANA. The moment!!! She was everything. Smarts, beauty, and humor!!! I felt like her and Alexia were giving all kinds of history, and I loved all the information. As a hospitality adjacent, I loved what she explained about the five different regions and the languages with examples. I had always wondered that at work, so it was nice to get it confirmed in a way. And her story about the man who died on the plane after proposing to her was loooord. lol. And her 'puppy, bitch, child, whatever' over Julia tattling to Alexia and her look as Stephanie cursed her out later were chef's kiss. And it was not lost on me that Adriana did not at all bad-mouth Lisa on the private jet when Stephanie, Larsa, and Julia tried to talk crap about Lisa. A friend.

KIKI. Enjoyed her so far. Her on the plane drinking was a vibe. And poor her beside herself during Alexia vs Stephanie.

MARYSOL. Harmless this episode. Though you continue to see the undercurrent of her anxiety over the Todd issues. She really don't like him for Alexia. And she was already trying to wind Lisa up for next episode when she FINALLY arrived. Speaking of...

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

LISA. 23 HOURS LATER...

And now I'm DEAD.

Such a great episode. Will watch the second part of the trip later. Great start.

I don't like Stephanie. She comes off as superficial and fake to me. She was also itching for her moment to stir the pot on the jet. Julia did exactly what you wanted her to do, too. Everything she said about Alexia is how I view her.

Maybe I am biased because I like Alexia. She does at times have this kiss-the-ring attitude, but not this time. Stephanie is overstepping her boundaries, not just with Alexia but with Lisa, too.  I don't care if she spoke about what others were thinking; you are still too new to the group. Stay in your lane!

She can thank Alexia for her first seat at the reunion. Money talks....

RHOC

Ditto for Tamra. I thought the first episodes were on the dry side, but now that she's everybody storyline, we got a show.

There's nothing wrong with being bias toward Alexia. What made their argument at the table good was that they both had valid points. Both were right, but neither of them were wrong, either. Heck, I'm sure that I said the same about Stephanie when the season started about her being too new to the group to offer an opinion on the dynamic out of the gate. She should have pulled a Season 1 of BH Garcelle or Season 1 of OC Jen (from what I remember) and just sat back and slowly got a feel for the group dynamic. I know I said Alexia is at her best when she's been activated which Stephanie is doing so points for her for doing that.

Larsa/Lisa beef is gonna get ugly.

Lisa basically called Larsa a clout chaser.

@Taoboi I'm still waiting for the storyline with Larsa new boo.

I wonder if the show will bring up Larsa alleged hookup with Ime Udoka aka Nia Long second baby daddy.
