So I’ve been watching season 4 of Beverly Hills the last two days and wow, I forgot that Brandi was literally just the definition of trash. Joyce was actually an amazing addition and I don’t understand why she wasn’t asked back the next season.

Honestly if anyone ever finds themself wanting Brandi back, they should just watch this season. She sucks.

This is hilarious!  Ramona is so funny to me. Melissa is gorgeous.

Potomac:

Y’all, Katie Rost is not ok. I noticed she doesn’t have talking heads, and if she wasn’t invited to the reunion, I wonder what’s up. Bc all friends normally get talking heads and reunion spots.

Lie-zelle Love Karen.

Candiace and Monique are so damn beautiful.

I just rewatched that and I agree. Her downfall was totally bizarre. Had she not turned on LVP she'd still be on the show right now. It reminded me of Jill Zarin and Bethenny because the downfall of their friendship was so contrived. LVP and Ken were ride or die with Brandi! I will never be able to understand that.

It's weird. Katie posted that the footage of Michael with the butt grabbing was doctored and after that she didn't get invited to the reunion, *but* she was right and Andy even apologized for the footage on WWHL and explained that the voice heard WASN'T the cameraman. Monique backed Katie's claims up, but obviously she was an official housewife so she didn't get punished.

She was anti-Brandi, who was Andy's pet at that time. Plus, season 4 was supposed to be the original cast takedown of LVP and it flopped miserably. I think Joyce had pissed off production by tipping off LVP that Kyle (the other production and network pet) was staging a coup.

I feel like this is why Kathryn got the boot two seasons later when she refused to jump on the LVP hate train. Same with Camille this past season.

Bravo/Evolution Media wanted to remove all traces of LVP and her allies from the show and have done so. Unfortunately for them, they have mortally wounded BH in the process. The show lost the glitz, glamor, and realness that it possessed the first 2 seasons. Instead, we'll be watching a pack of bankrupt biddies feign for the cameras, which is gonna put the nail in the coffin for this show. Unless all these women talk about their financial strife next season, no one is gonna give 2 sh*ts about BH.

I've never seen someone handle Brandi so effortlessly as Joyce did to the point that Brandi ran off crying once, after starting the fight. It was great.

I will say the seeds were planted very early on in Season 4 that Brandi would turn on LVP and she totally ignored all the signs. I'm not looking forward to the take down at all, even though Lisa has annoyed me this season with her blind loyalty to Trashy Brandi.

The thing is only part of the footage was added on. The camera guy absolutely was the one saying “don’t do that.” Everyone seems to ignore that part.

Brandi figured Yolanda was going to be the new Queen and carry more clout than LVP,  but she figured wrong. Yolanda was more concerned about pushing the Lyme disease narrative and not dealing with Brandi’s crazy.

I can't stand Bethenny 2.0 but I can see why Jill's scenes would be cut to please her. Jill was an absolute nightmare in season three, and she did her best to try to sabotage Bethenny and her spinoff. I wouldn't want her on the show either. However, it does show what a stranglehold Bethenny had on the show and like you, I'm glad she's gone. I don't want to see Jill return though.

Surprisingly, Ramona and Jill have posed for lots of photos together in recent months. I think they vacationed together sometime this past year.

I don't think Bravo would allow her diva antics this time around if they welcomed her back full-time, because they know and she knows they can go full steam ahead without her and be just fine.

Kelly Dodd is the absolute worst hypocrite. Humorless, angry and annoying b!tch. She can dish it all day long but can’t handle it when someone gives it to her. She uses her daughter as a shield. It’s pathetic and I can’t stand it. I used to like her, but now she’s just miserable and a hypocrite. Like at lunch, she brings up Emily’s tweet and starts that drama but the second the train is brought up, she goes bananas on everyone.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
