this is great news...everyone is back who i wanted to see except Deidri Hall and Matt Ashford?!?!?!? I hope most of these characters can stick around and we could get rid of some dead weights....Dr. Dan hit by a bus anytime soon???

No, she last appeared in 1996 for Bo and Hope's wedding (which was cancelled when Hope found Bo naked in Billie's arms at the Horton cabin).

I know the main priority will be Alice's passing and I know that they don't have a lot of time now to delve into history (like they have forgotten that Carly and Caroline were once close), but I hope they might have a few scenes with Carrie/Anna or Jennifer/Carly.

Deidre wasn't asked? WOW! That's awful. I doubt she would've asked for a lot of money since she knows these episodes are about Alice - I doubt it's a money issue. She's done so much for the show and to be treated like this is absurd. If there are hard feelings between people, I wish they would put it aside for a couple of episodes.

It is a great list of returns. A few people, such as marlena, are missing. Its too bad that Jason C is tied up doing nothing at GH, because id love to see Shawn come back too. But again, overall great. I also read this will all play out over summer into nov for the shows 45th anniv, if they do that i think its brilliant.

Supposedly Dee said on her Facebook page that she wasn't asked to return. Matt Ashford is currently doing theater work and has a part in Mamma Mia. He is said to be booked until June. So he may have been asked but couldn't due to a conflict. Then again Matt could have gotten the Dee treatment and not been asked.

I do think this is a pretty good list of returns for Alice's farewell.

I think they decided most people would know Marlena as Carrie's mother figure. Anna was also part of an era of DAYS (along with Calliope, Patch, Kayla, more storylines for characters like Maggie or Victor) that they seemed very reluctant to revisit until somewhere around 2006.
