ATWT: Famous Star might return

I think the lesbian ending was more Jill Lorie Hurst.

A Kriezman ending, that might involve Tom Pelphrey screaming at everyone for an hour, and when he loses his voice, Buzz Cooper shows up to scream at them. Then Holden becomes minister of Springfield.

Given at it's end GL had like 8 co-HWs I never knew who wrote what anymore, I just blamed everything on Kriezman(and Wheeler). It was the whole Doris is a lesbian thing that got me. Yes I'm a gay man myself, but I always felt that "big revelation" scene was pointless and I felt like it was some sort of inside joke or mockery. Doris and Ashlee were such superfluous characters anyways, what as the point and why should we care was my opinion of it all.

I know what you mean, I just felt like the buildup to the Otalia story was very slow and generally sensible and that didn't seem like Kriezman to me. The later stuff, that seemed more like him, but then that was supposedly Wheeler. Who knows. Since Jill Lorie Hurst was supposedly writing most of the material that aired around early 2009, like Phillip's return, I gave her more of the credit for the better moments.

I liked Doris so I liked seeing her get airtime and I didn't have a problem buying her as a lesbian, but you're right, that was very sudden. But I'd been a fan of hers since the early days when she was just the DA with an axe to grind, so I was glad to see more of her.

The Otalia story always just struck me as funny. I remember all the spoilers in the fall of '08 for such a story and then Wheeler came out and said "We're not doing a lesbian story, it's a story about friendship!" I don't know if that was Wheeler's cover but it may have been since we now know the end result. Otalia was ok in the end, howwever I liked Olivia and Doris muc, much better as thorns in Reva's side. I was extremely upset when in early '06 they dropped the potential Reva/Josh/Olivia redux in favor of Reva/Josh/Cassie and Frank/Olivia/Buzz

To Hurst's credit though I always sensed she knew more about GL than Kriezman and his fellow hacks Gold and Dunn.

They were all such a mixed bag, they brought some good and some bad. It's hard to know who was what. I think jfung79 said it was Lucky Gold who wanted to have a stronger black presence on the show, which is why there was some of Remy/Christina in the last year (which I liked, although I know a lot of people thought Christina was pointless).

I guess this may be moot, since Kriezman might be at AMC by the time they write the finale.

I wish they could just get out a Ouija board and ask Irna and Doug to write the finale. If that doesn't happen, I'd say Richard Culliton, as I liked his work on the show, but he's at DAYS.

I guess there's always the Dobsons. James, who is pretending to be ill as part of a plan to dupe her and Paul, asks Barbara to take him to the hospital, but when they get to the ER, they are greeted by Dr. Chris Hughes #23. "Chris" pulls off a Latex mask and reveals himself as...John Dixon! As John busts James, they declare war on each other.

In the final episode, Mr. Big's successor, appalled by how boring Tom and Margo have become, run the Hughes out of town, and Susan stares longingly at a wine bottle as Ellen Stewart arrives back in Oakdale. Susan, Emily, and a returned Betsy, Dani, Dee, Annie, Jeff, and the twins throw Ellen a party. For the last shot, Ellen puts a picture of Nancy in a drawer and closes it shut. *

* (I wouldn't want to see that with the Hughes but something tells me the Dobsons might...)

Many performers felt (and still feel) that way. Bryggman's just the one who admitted it.

Either way, as much as I'd want to see Julianne Moore return as Frannie and/or Sabrina, none of this means a damn b/c ATWT won't bring back John Dixon.

Unless it were to reunite her w/ a repentant Steve, I don't see the point. Yes, Betsy is a Stewart, but she isn't exactly relevant to the show anymore.

If she did, then the next thing ATWT should do is ask the Vatican to canonize her, because she'd be a saint!

No, unless Goutman has a change of heart (which I seriously doubt) and asks Martha Byrne to come back, I think we're all "stuck" with NB. Sorry.

Again, as with Meg Ryan's Betsy, or with anyone's Betsy, I'd hate to see how they would slot Marcy Thompson into the current storylines. It's much easier, I think, to write in Frannie (but maybe not so much Sabrina) than it would be to write in Betsy or Marcy.

I want to see some people return for the finale (with Bryggman and Herrera topping the list, of course), but I think the show has to be very selective here, and not just bring back everyone. John, James, Andy, Frannie, Penny, Iva and Lyla? Definitely. Sabrina? Maybe. Anyone else? I don't think so.

It would be awesome to see her back, but the article does say it's not a significant return. Which probably means she'll show up during a 30-second scene, say hello, maybe a couple of hugs. Cut. Then the next scene she is watching TV and sees a Julianne Moore movie and exclaims: "Hey! That looks like me!" She has an aneurusm and dies.

Oh, they would so do that.
