Cady McClain Returns to AMC

Dixie's back on March 3. McClain starts, "I got a lovely call..." JHC asked her if she was available to do a short term return. She thinks Young has turned into a fastastic lead actor. She says her scenes with Michael "were just like the old magic ... very, very touching." Those will air during the week of the 8. She tells Digest that she's willing to do another stint on ATWT before they go off the air. She talks about the AMC fans of Tad/Dixie sweetly. Dixie is back to help JR deal with the choices his spirit has to make. Their scenes will be in a Pigeon Hollow version of heaven. Stuart will be there.

AMC Supercouple Returns

She's (Alicia) back on 4/9. He's (Thorsten) back on 4/13. She talks about how final the scenes in NY were (w/Thorsten turning the lights off), and how everybody was crying. She really felt he was done with the show. On coming back, she starts out, "I got a lovely call..." JHC called asking about the baby and then sneaked in "I know it's the middle of your maternity leave but would you consider coming back for a few shows?" She was hesitant but JHC offered to fly the family out so she agreed. A few days later Kaye called her. She knew she'd have some great scenes with RB, SL and CM already and (TK) was just an amazing bonus.

Will Annie Save JR?

Angie informs Annie she's a partial bone-marrow match for JR and his best chance. Annie's conflicted, while playing hero appeals to her nobody in the family likes her but Scott. That is hammered home when a weak JR sees Annie in his hospital room. Annie's jealousy over Brooke/Adam prompts her to tell Adam the truth and go ahead with the procedure. They form a plan to get it done ... but Annie's insecurities prove to be an obstacle as the procedure is underway.

3/8 Greenlee rages at Ryan. 3/9 Adam asks Brooke to keep his/Annie's secret.

I agree, although I have to admit I look forward to seeing "Pigeon Hollow Heaven." It's not going to look like the Jupiter Hollow scenes in Big Business, is it? If so, I hope Dixie can kick Tad in his ledoledehoo for being a deadbeat dad.

Oh God. Cady is really gonna try to be a volleyball between Tean Pine Valley and Team Oakdale until Team Oakdale is forced off the court. Wouldn't it be ridiculously preposterous if she not only got to do the ATWT stint mentioned here but THEN went back to AMC in the summer and THEN went back to ATWT at the end of summer and THEN did AMC and THEN did ATWT two weeks before it's last episode and THEN do AMC a week before ATWT's last episode, and THEN do ATWT for the first ten minutes of its last episode, THEN AMC for the next ten, THEN...

I can't wait to see Zach and Kendall in April  wow so Alicia really is going to come back after her maternity leave, that's great. I thought it was the last we would see her, in April.

AMC is teasing with this Dixie stuff. I am looking forward to her as a ghost, but just bring her back permanently already. I think it's clear, that Cady is willing to return for good. Come on, AMC. The show has such a fairly small cast now (and it's going to get smaller with DC leaving, and cheaper), Tad barely has a storyline, just bring her back.

I love that Annie is going to be JR's donor. Maybe this will improve her image in PV a bit, and in the Chandler family's eyes.

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.
    • For any other soap, I think I’d agree, but GH, I don’t know

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
