That was another plus about Kim, it looked like Renee and Nigel were headed for some pretty fun capers trying to take her down.

Oh well. The fact is, Kim was a disposable character. I would rather see CJ or Sarah Roberts take her place, or any legacy character with connections to Llanview's prominent families.

Her name appears after Kelley Missal's and before Erika Slezak's in the end credits and has been like that since she first aired.

Six months....she joined the cast on August 14th of last year.

Oh wow, I didnt' even realize it was that long, I was thinking it was like November...But now that you mention it, I can remember her back in August a little.

They will still have David to lynch mob.

It seems like recurring may be the way of the future for more and more soaps. DAYS uses this method quite effectively, and this was one of the reasons Ellen Wheeler managed to keep as many vets at GL as they had near the end, like Maeve Kinkead. It probably saves more money than when soaps have so many wonderful actors on contract and pay them to not appear.

I hope they don't bother recasting. Setton was the only good thing about Kim. Her energy is what made her work and there are very few actresses Setton's age who will be pull off an onscreen relationship with an actor JVD's age without it coming off as extremely creepy. The situation could've been very off-putting and it's only the charming chemistry between AS and JVD that's made it work so far.

As for the custody battle, Kim isn't even needed for that regardless of what was planned. Kim isn't a blood relative of Stacy's or of the father's and she isn't even named in the will as a custodian or godparent. Legally she'd have no leg to stand on in front of any judge who wasn't bought and paid for by Clint.

And the superfluous, unnecessary third stripper is beyond unnecessary and shouldn't outlast Kim's exit. She certainly shouldn't be an excuse to recast Kim. If they do recast though, they'd better go for chops over looks because Kim is a character that could be very hateable in the wrong hands and not in a good, fun way.

Fortunately, for Kim, she knows many positions. ;-)

Even if the proposition of these forthcoming stories (Kim's bid for custody or Sierra, another stripper friend coming to town) don't seem that instantly appealing...still...it seems to me that they are already written and in the can, and that trying to unwrite them at the last minute would be more inconvienant than simply recasting Kim so that what's been planned can still play out.

Here is a thought....OLTL needs to save Lindsey Hartley from that dreadful character Arianna from Days, and cast her as Kim.

I don't know if she'd want to commute cross country.

Perhaps they can fire Farah Fath and use that to help pay Lindsey's plane fare.
