Members Mr. Vixen
Yep, I agree with you there. I think that CBS is just using them as a cop out. I mean, they dont promote them, and they arent doing THAT much better than the soaps were/are. but this way CBS can say "Hey, dont say we dont care about our daytime lineup...We still have the number 1 daytime lineup out there!"...But in reality they are barely skating by with these game shows, that they clearly dont care about. I think that's partially why they are cancelling ATWT, because it is the one "blot" on their schedule, due to the recent low ratings. And instead of putting PROMOTION into the show and trying to save it (ala DAYS, 2009-) they are just cancelling it to replace it with a cheap game show, that will get them similair ratings, hlaf the price, and ZERO effort on their part. Happy with the raintgs this week, btw....GO DAYS.
Members Eric83
I love that DAYS and the ABC are all showing gains in Total Viewers over the previous year. Especially DAYS and AMC nearly having 500,000 gains over last year. NBC better renew DAYS, this is fantastic!
Members DRW50
So GH lost viewers and OLTL gained a healthy amount yet ABC's press release touts GH? I guess it's demos or whatever. I noticed that Y&R crashed as the week went along -- I can't even remember anything that happens on that show now. I'm happy for the increases. It's nice to see several soaps up from last year. I hope the increases stick. Seeing soaps fall below 2.0 is a heartbreaker.
Members LeClerc
How can Brian Frons think he made a good decision hiring Kreizman for AMC with those ATWT numbers!?
Members CSF
Very pleased with both AMC and OLTL in households, total viewers and 18-49. I hope they can keep it up!
Members Mr. Vixen
I dont see why NBC wouldnt renew Days. I mean if you look at it, it is getting comperable ratings to HEROES on some nights, for Gods sake!!! How would have ever thought that DAYs would end up being the only bright spot on NBC???!! I mean, they are a ratings disaster in primetime, but in Daytime they are becoming a true powerhouse.

Members NYC123
Good for AMC. The Greenlee reveal was the most watch episode! 2 days of being over 3 million. Also AMC over 800,000 in the key demos is good to see.
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
The ratings for ATWT is because of the weather. Brian prolly hired him to get rid of AMC.
Members Eric83
I asked this earlier in the thread, but thought I'd ask again. Does anyone think DAYS' rise in viewers, but not in demos could be the result of baby boomers retiring and getting back into DAYS again?

Members amazing7
Ok, so the huge increase for AMC still left them in 5th place for Monday. I don't think that's too good, but I guess any increase for them is something after losing 100,000 viewers last week. Congrats to OLTL for their huge increase. Members EastMA2
HUGE Congrats to DAYS!! They've defied all the odds - their budget got cut by a reported 40%, they had to let go many huge stars and people were sounding the death knell. They re-grouped by focusing on story and look at the success they've had. They deserve it. The show has been on fire for several months now! Great job Mr. Tomlin and Co. Members ChiTownBoi03
Really disappointed ATWT is still languishing at the bottom. I personally think its excellent, but I guess my definition of great serial entertainment differs from most. Congrats to DAYS though, even though honestly I am not sure how they are doing it since it's boring as hell, but as long as its still on my screen we're good I guess.
