All I have to say is Thank Heavens for our wonderful veterans on this show. All of them!!! If it wasn't for them I would not be even watching or reading about the show anymore. I see some sparks of life here and there but the emptiness of this thread says a lot.

Agreed. SH's protayal of Patty is pretty awesome - watching her eyes, the tone of her voice, her body language.

But she is terrible as Emily. If there was no Patty and she just had played Emily, I don't think anyone would be raving about the actress or character. I also don't think she has any chemistry with Jack, which is strange because as Patty she does.

Well, I'm suggesting that they make her turn 'sane'. Basically, write it so that her mental issues are cured by love from Jack. Instead of Paksil, Patty is on Jaksil I know it is chezzy but I'd love to see one character on one soap actually get away with their crime with no character on the show knowing or ever finding out. It can be our secret, only Patty and us viewers ever need to know. ;-)

There is no way Patty is anything they see as long term. She's just a ploy they use whenever they need new stunts for their "brilliant stories." Ever since she turned psycho with that Summer stuff, she has been nothing but their shock-of-the-week.

You're right, and it sucks 'cause Patty is actually a pretty complex character with loads of history. I would love seeing her pull this off for a few months, long enough for Jack to really fall in love with her. Instead, he will probably realize he married a misfit and trade her in for perfect Emily.

It felt like for the first few months of "MJ", she was supposed to be a complex character, but then as with most of the other stories on this show, it went to hell in a handbasket very quickly. All shock value all the time.

Patty is caricature with this round of writers. Haduik humanizes the character as much as any good actor can
