I just bumped onto this news! The show, known as Ballando con le stelle, is shown on RAI, the state-owned public service.

Daniel McVicar was previously a partecipant in Notti sul ghiaccio (literally, Nights on Ice; a version of Skating With Celebrities), in 2007, on the same network.

In the article I linked to Ron says:

Good luck! :)

Daniel was 7th (there were 12 contestants). He met Virginia De Agostini there, who is his partner now, I believe.

Yes, Kanan was there in 2006 (third season; his partner/teacher was Tinna Hoffman)! I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me! :) I think at the time it was reported he live in Italiy — I don't know whether it meant it's his main home or just a temporary one.

First of all... WTF was that opening ET sequence with Ronn and his partner pedalling to the moon?!

Typical first dance of a male contestant. A bit of walking here and there, a few awkward dance steps. RM is tall and lanky so his body type is not really suited to dance. However, he seems gracious towards his partner and a pretty good sport. I wish we could see this Ronn in Ridge on B&B -- a character that has absolutely no sense of humor.

BTW, it is spooky how Ronn Moss never ages. Somewhere in his attic, there is a portrait of him rapidly looking like a 100-year old satyr.

I would like to know how his schedule looks too. Because for all I know — this show always airs live on Saturday nights, begins somewhere around 9:15 PM.

Yeah, I wish he was different on B&B too. I wonder if this will have any effect on his (in)famous stiffness.

It is!

I don't think it's hard. I know Len and Bruno do the US DwtS on Monday and Tuesday and the British version on Saturdays and maybe Sunday too. They just fly back and forth. B&B shoots, what? Monday-Thursday? That gives him enough time to travel back and forth and his partner could practice with him in LA. Also, since it's only half hour he could pre-tape his episodes like Ashley Jones did when filming True Blood. You guys are also forgetting he hasn't been in z frontburner story for a long while so it's not like he's working all four days. They could easily get his stuff out of the way in one, two days tops, per week.

    • This has a lot of talk about early B&B, including Lydia Hirsch correctly inferring that Gail Kobe and Bill Bell may not work together long. She also roasts Bill Bell the way Chris Schemering did for the various mentions of "My God, man!" I am trying to remember if we actually got any of those (didn't Ridge used to say it?). There's also a lot of mention of Stephen Shortridge, who never seemed to have anywhere near as much value on the show itself. Sometimes I am surprised they never brought Dave Reed back for another doomed Brooke romance.

    • Thanks.  It can be tough to remove things from IMDB.
    • Which RC isn't above doing so thank goodness that was not the case.
    • Another episode breakdown by RC. That wasn't great to see on screen. I thought the Laura and Leslie scenes were a dream sequence.  The episode was better than yesterday's episode. I'm not feeling the Anita story at all.  Ashley and Derek continue to be a bore.
    • No, you're totally correct, for whatever reason I was thinking of Cape Canaveral.  Is the problem with being an EMT in Salem that nobody seems to drive, or use ambulances?  I could've sworn they walked Philip over on a gurney from the hotel to the hospital.

Is the writing staff trying to use coded messaging ? Javi was very specific that he wasn't fired for being gay, but he was harassed into quitting. I wish Johnny was going to work at the paper, I'd like him with Chad. I hope there's no foreshadowing in Tate and Shawn feeling queasy…
    • The red carpet was so lame and cringworthy. The biggest fool in PC is the last to arrive. Wish everyone in PC would stand in line to slap Willow in the face for being so dumb. The best part of the episode was Alexis finally telling her psycho daughter Kristina that her days are numbered.

    • I think it's the next day, or nothing explicitly ties this one to the prior one, unless Shawn had on the same clothes as when he called in sick? So maybe I'm wrong. Did they acknowledge that Tate's little sister and babymama seem to have the same birthday? And why wasn't Tate invited to Rachel's tea party?? Javi trained to be an EMT (I thought it was in Corpus Christi, though). He revealed this after he saved Sarah from certain death -- by reminding her that she had an EpiPen -- and Leo questioned how he knew what to do.
    • Lol. For one...that jacket was off. For another...the costume designer went for comfortable BUT form fitting at the same time. For another...I guess JM is working out again cuz he looked yummy.    That said...yep. BtG suuuuuure do.
