I used to be so crazy into opening credits (WoST, anyone?), but I'm starting to appreciate strong, simple, iconic opening credits more and more. If we didn't have stupid scrunch credits, the perfect answer would be what GL did during its HOTL days... just have simple DOOL, or original AMC/OLTL-type opening credits, and run shots of the full cast under the closing credits, say once a week. That way, even Rauch's blink and you missed it HOTL opening credits would have been bearable.

Exactly, I don't think it's Susan Lucci either.

Actually, I think it could be one of several vets including Susan Flannery, Elieen Fulton or maybe Jeanne Cooper. Also, it doesn't say whether the vet is male or female. I just don't think Lucci would go off contract after taking a pay cut and agreeing to staying with the show while it moves production to LA. I think if she was going to go off contract, she would have done it after the 40th Anniversary. I think she knows ABC would screw her over if she decided to go recurring.

JFP is obsessed with hair. I can't remember who posted it, but in another thread, it was mentioned that JFP will not have two actresses with the same hair style in one scene. Like if Liz has a pony tail, Rebecca has to have her hair straight and down.

I guess no male can have hair shorter than her bootleg Linda Dano 'do, but doesn't the Austrlian guy have longish hair? I really hate it when men with long hair do that thing where they shake the hair out of their face, Jonathan Jackson and the little kid who plays Shane on OLTL used to always do that.

I think soap guys often look better with short hair. I always thought Chris Douglas just looked silly with the long flowing brown hair (I think Nathan Fillion and the others used to make fun of him). James Scott's hair looked horrible when he didn't keep it very short. And Tom Pelphrey looks so greasy when his hair isn't short. Thorsten Kaye's Brown Penny hair was kind of hilarious.

The only soap guy I liked with longer hair was Jason Webb on OLTL.

The more I look at old clips of Jason, the more I think about what he could have been had he stayed around and how that would have affected the character of RH's Todd. Todd seemed to inherit some of Jason's qualities, the long-haired, trashy (no offense Jason!), bad boy, (with a scar!). Obviously two very different people, but I see a similarity. A similar case (imo at least) is when they dropped dark-haired, flat-ironed Justin Klosky over at GL and brought on Pelphrey, it's not like the characters are interchangeable by any means, but I think sometimes there's a certain aesthetic TPTB are going for and they'll try to make it work one way or another. I don't know if I'm making sense, but it's just something I've sensed as a viewer.

    • Brook Lynn has been working my last nerve for at least 2 weeks. I was so relieved when she blurted out her teen queen story to her grandmother who is the most wonderful person in the entire world!
    • Just caught up and these episodes were absolutely amazing! Ambyr Michelle was soooooooooo good, and I felt so bad for Eva, I actually teared up. I love that Andre was nice to her, that was my favorite Andre moment of the series thus far.

I don't need to warn you that if you like this & want to keep it download it. Now, isn't she positively amazing?!!! Well, IMO she is. This is only the first episode that I've got her in. I think there will be more.
    • All true, and all an enormous problem on this show. -- The business stories are maddening because none of it makes any sense, none of it has any connection to the real world. As you said, sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers, and job switching is not a storyline. -- The deck chairs are constantly rearranged on the Titanic -- that's what this show is. Summer, Chelsea, Sally, and Chloe have been in design for how long? And we've never seen ANYTHING from them. Carrying around an iPad isn't enough. BOLD is terrible, but at least they show us dresses from Kohls and jewelry from Amazon. -- I know it's baked into the DNA of the show, but I will never enjoy seeing Jabot and Newman treat each other as if no other companies exist in the entire world. A new magical line of cosmetics is not going to bring down a company like Jabot. -- This is a writing problem, not a budget problem. An enormous amount of cash is not needed to write compelling business stories and show real products. This is writer LAZINESS.
    • Right? GOD FORBID Vanessa be allowed to cut her own mother-in-law down to size, when REVA REVA REVA needs a rival to sharpen her claws on. RME I mean, they could have, but Long and Curlee (like most HW) seemed to forget about characters once they left town. If they mentioned Trish five times in the ten years she was gone, I'd be surprised.  Yeah, Alex didn't really do friendship, other than Lillian. And most of the time, Henry.  And somehow, by the time she leaves, Sonni is some friend of Mo's? Mo is just everyone's default "friend". SMH.
    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
