Nelson Branco may be an idiot and a lunatic but he is not wrong about AMC. It's unwatchable and he's not the first daytime journalist to say so.

Sure, but current AMC is definitely not the first time a soap has been this unwatchable, but it is the first time that "OMG, it's either AMC or OLTL!" rumors seem to have at least some iota of truth to them, and there ain't no doubt in my mind whatsoever that the thought of OLTL being canceled instead of AMC (which, no doubt, is in the absolute shitter right now) is numero uno on the list of reasons why Nelson has all of a sudden become so hostile towards AMC. GL was unwatchable for ages before it heaved its last sigh, but I never saw Nelson get so friggen worked up over it.

I think Nelson was too busy trashing Ellen Wheeler to focus on GL itself, but he definitely hated a lot of the show.
