Soaps Original or Working Titles

I think GH2 was just a working title, and the Labines' alternative spinoff to what became Port Charles was Brooklyn-based Heart and Soul that would have starred Ned and Lois and the Cerullos.

I always read that Port Charles was originally going to be called GH2, and then something like GH West, or something like that, and was going to be a spinoff that took place on the west coast?? And then it just got revamped into Port Charles?? Idk, but that's what I always heard.

The spinoff was definitely referred to as GH2 in the soap mags, maybe that was indeed its intended title at first, I'm not sure. Like LOV<3NYC, there's debate to whether that was actually its title at some point or if it was just a name for the projewct in the working stages. Kind of like Rags for B&B, the Bells never wanted that to be the on-air title.

I've always thought Passions was a great title wasted on a show full of people with no passion whatsoever.

The characters were passionate. Theresa was passionate for Ethan, Gwen was passionate in her hatred for Theresa, Kay was passionate in her obsession with Miguel, etc.

Not passionate. Psychotic.

The problem with "Loving" as a title is simple...are we referring to it as a present progressive verb (I am loving you)? A gerund (Your loving keeps me warm)? Is it being used as an adjective (She has a loving smile)? Are we referring to Loving v. Virginia?

Actually, as Agnes Nixon would say, "It's whatever you want it to be, dear." ;-)

Not passionate. Psychotic.

PSYCHOSES. Now, that's a show (title) I can get behind, lol!

Not really, no. Only a handful of characters could be deemed psychotic: Gwen, Norma, Beth, Vincent/Valerie, and Alistair.

Theresa was psychotic. Period.

No she wasn't. She was in love with Ethan! Gwen was the raging psycho. She's the maniac who attacked Theresa with a baseball bat. Now THAT's a girl with issues!

I can't believe we're debating which nutty ho on PASSIONS was nuttier. LOL!

It was Gwen. She later attacked Theresa with a bedpan and then refused to save Theresa when Alistair was raping her. The bleached blonde skank takes the cake!

I won't waste time arguing who was crazier. Both were extremely psychotic, pathetic cows.

Not Theresa. She was the heroine, and she got her man in the end. I was very happy with the Passions finale!
