Losing Lujack twice in one lifetime was, perhaps, the tragic event that defined Alexandra's character and informed most, if not all, of her decisions. In one sense, then, I could understand her becoming so fixated upon Nick, the OTHER son who'd been taken from her at birth. I only wish the stories that came after the revelation had lived up to its promise.

The story so quickly became all about Nick and Alex was just there to move the plot along and be his harridan mother.

Those scenes between Beverlee McKinsey and Vincent Irizarry are pure gold. No wonder to this day he sings her praises and credits her with helping him grow as an actor.

Thanks for sharing that article. I wonder if she still struggles with chronic pain today...it sounds like she was really put through the wringer.

Thanks for posting all these gems. I've always been fascinated by behind-the-scenes stories, even more so than storyline articles, but the soap press was SOOOOOOOOO much better then.

Poor Nola. Kelly and Morgan are so nauseating in those scenes. So glad that shortly after, Nola was tossed into Quint's orbit and she'd go on to be in one of the show's biggest super couples.

Thank you for posting these. I'm a fan of Kristen Vigard, so I enjoy seeing these clips.

I like her a lot too. I'm sorry that they couldn't deal with her and recast her with such a bland actress. I think Morgan could have been a fascinating longterm heroine.
