Not to sound too heartless, but does the Beatles Collection go to his estate or does it automatically go for auction?!

Will be very interesting to see who gets dibs.

I believe Sony also owns a portion of that Beatles catalog in some joint venture with Michael, so who knows what the hell will happen to that.

ETA: Apparently, he's willed the Beatles catalog back to Paul McCartney. :o

Entertainment Tonight and Extra have barely even mentioned Michael's passing

Those segs were probably taped well before they could do a full tribute.

For real?!

Damn...he's really trying to get to heaven!

Mariah Carey on Twitter:

I am heartbroken. My prayers go out to the Jackson family, and my heart goes out to his children. Let us remember him for his unparalleled contribution to the world of music, his generosity of spirit in his quest to heal the world & the joy he brought to his millions of devoted fans throughout the world. I feel blessed to have performed with him several times & to call him my friend.

No artist will ever take his place. His star will shine forever.

Michael Jackson death causes EastEnders to shoot scene at last minute today for TONIGHT'S episode

Exclusive By Mark Jefferies 26/06/2009

EastEnders' bosses have added a scene featuring Jacko's death into tonight's show - filming it just hours after the news broke.

In the scene in tonight's episode, characters Denise Wicks and Patrick Trueman are seen discussing the shock news.

An EastEnders spokesperson said: "We will be making a reference in tonight's episode to Michael Jackson's death.

"We always aims to reflect topical events that we think will strike a chord with our audience, and have previously filmed additional scenes including the election of Barack Obama and England's participation in the World Cup."

The show's executive producer Diederick Santer explained the decision to add in the scene, which was filmed this morning and then added in with just a few hours to spare.

He said: "There are some news stories and events which get everyone talking, and this is one of them.

"Given the quick turnaround, it's only a small scene, but I hope it reflects to some extent the impact Michael Jackson's death has had."

That's pretty cool of EastEnders. Even though his fame/public image diminished a bit in North America, I read that in Europe, Asia and around the World, he was still pretty big.

Another cool thing I saw was a ton of people in San Francisco were dancing in public to the tunes of MJ.

Billie Jean is my favorite, but I loved them all. MJ's legend & music will live not just for decades, but for centuries.
