I can't stop laughing at the image. "Esther, Esther, will you bring me the g*dd*mned wheelbarrow so I have some place to dump this sh!t?? I still can't get the stench of David Chow out of this thing!"

According to Nelson, SID is reporting that Eva Marcille and Vail Bloom have been bumped down to contract. I think he means dumped down from contract.

So, it looks like Eva will finally be gone, Vail too. :)

I'm happy.

Nelson also seems to think they're recasting Mac, but I doubt it....

I kind of hope he is right, but i also kind of doubt it via spoilers for eva's character.

vail is a loss, IMHO. in a show full of pointless characters with no ties that are overplayed and played by bad actress Vail has emerged as a good young talent that could possably take over the missing young heroine role. but they have screwed ehather at every angle they could, so im not surprised.

now if only devon, cane, jana, kevin, jeff, glo could go and colleen and victoria could be recasted.

Good, Eva Marcille could be on her way out. Finally some justice. Now we only have around 7-8 weaklings to get rid of.

Shame about Vail, but not a least bit surprising. So why the heck keep others that appear less than her?

Anyway, I'll believe both of these yet when I see it reflect in the credits.

I noticed you didn't mention the GOOD NEWS in that report. How convenient. Y&R coming in seventh in online views, among prime time AND daytime, even beating out survivor. Since Y&R airs during the day while poeple are at work, and we live in the computer age, this does not suprise me at all. The streaming show might just save daytime, because it will reveal Neilsen's figures for the asinine BS that they are!

I told you all they would pare down the cast, although you and Alvin ahve been railing against the bloated cast for weeks now. One must have more patience than a tse-tse fly.

    • Yup.  You can't hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.

      look who’s at a party I’m at
    • Yes. We should absolutely move on from John/Drake's 40 year legacy on the show to see what Leo is going to do tomorrow.  Lol.  This can't be a serious post.

I came in with a dream and left with a purpose. From lecture halls to rehearsals, community work to creative sets, every moment shaped me. I’m so proud of the stories I’ve told here — and the ones still unfolding. Grateful to everyone who poured into me, supported me, challenged me, and believed in me. Fours up and peace out! #UCLA #ClassOf2025 #BlackBruinExcellence #YearbookVideo @jordanward
    • The actor who plays Martin has been teasing that nobody has guessed Martin's secret. I love that for things like that and the June story we have no idea. I feel like if we didn't have the day ahead feeds Anita's reveal would've been shocking as well. I love that they aren't going the obvious route with these stories.
    • I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
    • That's a bit murky since that happened during a writers' strike. Assuming Kristen Marie had a 2-year contract she left about when her contract would have expired and Sharlene and Josie showed up right before that. Lemay was officially credited as HW from September 1988 but it seems very probable that his anticipated tenure influenced events that happened during the strike which started in April.
    • I've seen so many posters over the years who are bright, creative, well-versed in soap history, and who care deeply about the integrity of the genre. I'd put the shows' chances in their hands a lot faster than I would allow any of the "usual suspects" to take control of the dramas they've already helped decimate. When I returned to university in the 1980s, I created a bible for a new soap and presented it in my screenwriting class. It was in reaction to how badly I saw the network shows being butchered at the time. The creative process was thrilling; a total joy, and I still smile when I remember the positive feedback I received from the professor and my fellow students. I was used to seeing written commentary from professors on my work. This one wrote me a long, complimentary note on the final page of the bible, but also graded it 97%, A+. I was beaming ear to ear for days!

    • Thanks. I do wonder if Rose was meant to be more given the caliber of actress they hired. I remembered Sara and Peggy staying longer as they were still on when Soapnet started their repeats. I wonder if that was part of the reason they brought Jake's brother in.
