Damn, I sound like a JFP Emmy speech.

Actually, this is more like a JFP Emmy speech...

JFP (at mic): I just want --

(Orchestra begins to play.)

Emmy Hosts: Good night!

Y&R has a lot of problems, but I guess I'd still consistently watch it over anything on ABC Daytime these days.

Well, so long as you're still looking on the bright side.

I actually posted something similar, yesterday, to your first theory. Mine has huge holes too...but I'm thinking we're both in the right direction.

On a show like DOOl, or GH maybe. I am one of those stubborn viewers who want that nowhere near Y&R, they will have to come up with better

JUST tomorrow's spoiler, only. ETA: He speculates another return down the road that I think might come true. But it is pure speculation.
Just focuses on tomorrow's spoiler, and a little speculation at the end, nothing concrete.

Thanks, guys.

Okay so after reading the NB's article, I'm even more shocked! LOL

I had no idea that was Phillip Chancellor III on the other end of Cane's phone call! I've never seen him before. My excitement was because MAB might be undoing Cane being a Chancellor.

Wow, the cliffhanger is bigger than I thought now.

You're barely figuring that out Toupsy??;)

There's a Jill and Nina scene tomorrow where they talk about him too, but when the

cliffhanger hits those who haven't heard about this yet,

they're going to be really shocked.

I can't believe they've kept this quiet since March, again, I have to give them credit for that.

Y&R should've pulled a Passions. When it was revealed that Alistair was Charlie, the day-ahead Canadain viewers didn't get to see the ending. Instead we saw the revelation at the beginning of the next episode.

Quick piggyback to my theory -

what if after Phillip had the baby and was married to Nina, he realized he was gay and that's why he orchestrated his death.

I have to say I'm so excited about the possibilities.

I think that's a good idea Cashton, but I have to say I'm dumbfounded by the question (posed in Nelson's piece) of whether gay people can be successful on daytime. WTF?? They already are. Does the name Tony Geary ring a bell? He sold what is arguably the biggest couple that ever hit daytime.

If Philip is gay just because TB is, I wonder if it's going to lend credence to this ridiculous notion that actors have to play their orientation. People need to quit being babies and SELL the role you are in (or don't take it). Tony Geary sold straight and Eden Riegale (sp) sold gay. It's called acting. I can understand that some people aren't quite comfortable doing this (and I'm willing to give people time to adjust), but my feeling is that if you are going to be an actor, get comfortable fast or don't take the role.

If Phillip III is gay, I'll be fine with that because it is a good story (maybe a reversal of the strict dad who can't accept his gay son, with Phillip IV having a hard time accepting his dad), but it's also a complete rewrite. The man was gaga over The Bug. Trust me, I was just a kid, but I remember every excruciating detail of that romance. Now I'm having flashbacks of that god awful lady in red dance scene. *gag me*. (rant over)

But TG is not out.

We have two out actors in daytime. Two that admit it in the press. Thats it. One is Clem Ford.

the other is TB

It's truly amazing that they managed. They should just decide not to give out any info at all, or maybe just "spring/summer/fall/winter" minor spoilers. That would definitely keep all of us interested in what's coming next and we would have no place to go for spoilers.

Wait. Why since March?

Wait. Why since March?

NB reported that

"Y&R shot the actor’s top-secret return on a closed set one weekend back in March."

And for those wondering how long he'll stay: "The Suds Report has also exclusively learned that Bierdz has signed a one-year contract with the soap that made him a star."

Oh. No wonder I didn't get it, I don't read NB!
