Apparently AW went on location to Long Island in July 72. Does anyone what the scenes were about?

  • A nice achievement to see the thread has reached 1,000 pages. I'm forever saddened that almost all of what was apparently AW's best is gone, never to be seen again, but I've been fascinated by AW ever

  • They were definitely in character -- my favourite part was Lisa talking about how she had spent too much time making herself small to please Jamie. This was also where Ada recalled her youthful romanc

I looked at the synopses for July 72 on the Another World Home Page.  Could it have been Victoria Wyndham's introduction as Rachel when she was staying in a hotel with Jamie and Steve Frame stops by to visit them?

Put me down as someone who also really liked "In This Life" in that scene. It also was a highlight of the Bette of Roses album.

Had iTunes been around in summer 1999, sales for that song would have gone through the roof!!

Harding "Pete" Lemay, who was arguably AW's greatest HW, and one of daytime's most legendary, has passed away:

Lemay certainly had his fans and detractors, but no one can deny that he provided viewers with years of entertainment and unforgettable characters while he was headwriter of Another World.  Rest In Peace Mr. Lemay. 🙏🏼

RIP.

He was one of the best ever serial writers.   He worked on Strange Paradise, Another World, Lovers and Friends/For Richer, For Poorer, Search for Tomorrow, The Guiding LIght.   Am I omitting any others?

His son, Steven Lemay, was also a writer of Another World.

Janice Lynde never made much of an impression as Tracey.

I think that she was an example of a performer who was perfect as one character Leslie Brooks, but it was a one off and she couldn't transfer it to  other roles.

@vetsoapfan do you have memories of Margie Impert's Rachel?

On July 21, 1972, Victoria Wyndham made her debut as Rachel on Another World.  Any long time viewer remember her first day on the show?  I wish this episode would show up on a YouTube one day.

Is this Carole Shelley around 52 minutes?
