OLTL: Killer(s) revealed

Thing is, I can't buy Rebecca as one of killers. I keep thinking back to '94 and lovely Reiko Ellsworth. Rebecca was sweet and innocent and very saintly but crazy? No. Even after the rape, she kept t together.

Would've been more interesting to have Fish or Kyle as the killer. At least they've acted somewhat suspicious.

I can understand killing off Janet and even Wes because he was close to Marty, but Talia? I hate to know she was a victim of an awful storyline based around Marty.

Agreed. Why do they have to destroy the memory of the character? It's the same offscreen stuff that Pratt loves so much.

Well Kyle will be connected to Rebecca....after all they do share the same last name. And I think that this storyline has been planned out for several, several months now. Remember when the show hired Brett Claywell to portray Schuyler Joplin and then shortly thereafter replaced him in the role with Scott Clifton, while giving Claywell the role of Kyle the lab tech? Well, if you Google pictures of Jessica Kaye (who will be portraying Rebecca), you will notice that her facial features, hair color, etc... more closely resemble Brett Claywell then Scott Clifton. They probably tried to get the original Rebecca first, and then when they couldn't switched Claywell's role on the soap in order to better fit the storyline. BTW...Kyle is too old to be Rebecca's son, but not to be her brother. ;)

Also, I think that Talia was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The killer was probably looking for someone else when they bumped into Talia. After that, he/she had to do something with Talia....so as to not leave any witnesses.

The resolution to this story SHOULD have been that it was a conspiracy involving Fish, Kyle, Powell, and Rebecca and that they were all the killers. I know I'm the only one that thought Fish was the killer, but it would have been more interesting.

That said, this story is nowhere near as bad as you guys are making it sound. They didn't drag it out forever, they didn't kill any core characters and to me it seems like it WAS planned from the start. We may not have cared about Lee and Wes but the point was that a serial killer was using the past to haunt Marty and Todd. Comparing it to the Music Box Killer and the Killing Club Killer is just a little extreme.

I actually kind of like the serial killer story.

The only problem I have is that the story seems designed mostly to prop John and Marty's nonromance.

I don't think the story is designed to prop John and Marty. I think it's more to redeem Todd by showing the audience how bad the "other" rapists are. I actually like the idea of the gang rape still reverberating after 16 years. On the other hand, we were long over the rape story before Marty came back with amnesia  I am interested to see what happens when the killers are revealed.

He's getting there, RC hasn't blamed SH yet for anything, so he hasn't out Pratt-ed Pratt yet

He hasn't blamed SH for this mess but apparently he blames Tim Stickney for the fact that RJ isn't sticking around:

"Don't look for Timothy D. Sitckney to be sticking around Llanview much longer as RJ Gannon. The actor is preparing for yet another Canadian Shakespeare festival, which usually run for at least six months at a time. According to Head Writer Ron Carlivati, "just when I was ready to bring RJ on and give him tons of stuff to do, it turns out he really wasn't available to us." However, he mentions that the door is always open for Stickney to return whenever he is available."

Blaming the actor for crappy writing seems to be the newest PR tactic at ABC. It would be sweet irony to me if TDS played a role in the next season of Imaginary Bitches.

"Tons of stuff" my ass.

Rebecca was very religious. I cant see her becoming a serial killer and didnt Powell rape her before leaving? I also cant see her back in love with him and doing all this stuff

This is some doo doo.

I'm still of the school of thought that Powell shouldn't have been ruined in the first place, and to add insult to decade old injury, they had to go and make Rebecca all cuckoo for Rapemance. Powell totally got the Victor Lord shaft, a decent dude turned into an evil degenerate. And why was that doctor calling Viki instead of Powell's mother?

I don't think that OLTL ever did really mention what happened to either of Powell's parents the first time he was on, although I could be wrong.

As best as I can recall, they never made mention of Powell's family beyond the fact that his family was cousins with Viki's. Subsequently, I thought the family tie was Michael Malone's cheap shot at making us invest in the story. ("Since he's Viki's cousin, I guess I have to care." Doesn't work as well, though, when it isn't a direct sibling or offspring.)

True....but I guess it was better than making Powell yet another child Viki forgot about.

Well, there was that one time Cathy Craig (Riley) kidnapped baby Kevin, then conveniently developed amnesia when she had been exposed.

I'm just sayin'.
