Lily (Y&R)- I don't have anything against the actress per say, but I think the way the actress portrays Lily is not true to how the character should be developed (it's not the writing it's the way the actress plays it). IMHO the character should show more maturity

Victoria (Y&R)- While I like AH. Her Victoria doesn't command in quite the way I feel the character has been built over the years to do

Y&R

Cane Ashby

Victoria Hellstrom

Lily Winters

Tyra Hamilton

Colleen Carlton

I don't really feel like explaining because I've said it a million times. The bottom line is that each of these actors either don't fit the role or just don't know how to act.

Victoria, Y&R

I am more than convinced after watching today's show. I don't dislike AH, she just isn't Victoria and I hated the way she played those boardroom scenes today, no commanding presence at all. There was always this idea that Nick was more like Nikki and Victoria was more like Victor, and I don't see a bit of Victor in AH's Victoria. The character is too important to be this inconsequential or ineffective.

What a HUGE mistake to get rid of Davetta Sherwood, she gave Lily interest and depth. I was quite happy to have her replace CK.. I couldn't believe CK returned to the role. What a bummer because for me, she's taken the life out of the role, and makes "Cane" seem like an even bigger DUD. Cane and Lily put me to sleep!

OLTL:

• Starr (the role needs to be visually aged. Plus tall ass Todd and tall ass Blair would have a tall ass daughter. Not only does she look like she's 13, but KA is too short for the role now.)

• Natalie (if they're going to insist on keeping this clown around, then a better actress is needed)

• Destiny (woof)

• Matthew (Though EA is *finally** starting to get better, after what felt like eons of him seeming like he should be at Summer camp instead, still, I wouldn't be upset to see him go that Matthew can be aged up to higher HS level.)

• Gigi (someone less hokey, please.)

• Rex (someone less gay...err..."metrosexual.")

• Cristian (DF reminds me of Lurch from the Addam's Family. A total zombie. I'll never understand why TPTB keep him around and court him when he tries to leave.)

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
