Soap Hunk Pictorial

Agree... agree... and then we get to Tyler. LOL! I will never understand his appeal, sorry. I thought he definitely had a smoldering quality when he first came on the show years ago, but that quickly waned for me. I know he's got his die-hard fans - and I'm not saying I don't like the guy, or don't like Nikolas. On the contrary, I think he's a fantastic character. But "soap hunk"? Not for me, at least...

So we actually agree on 2 out of three .. A LOT

Tyler...nah. Initially as the troubled, LEAN prince, I found him passable...now, not so much.

I can take or leave Brandon, but Greg and Mark are ... amazing.

I also agree with you on Beemer. He's TOO lean, it looks painful. (But again, in that "love hurts" vein....)

I went on a little long below, as is my custom to do. So let be summarize it in one word/acronym. DILF.

I'd put Morrow in that top 3. I wouldn't have in the 90s. I HATED him. I hated that Morrow showed none of the diction or class of a swiss-educated Newman. I didn't like those big lips and that lack of ability to emote.

Nick switched, for me, when Cassie came into their lives. Yes, I'm saying "Nick", because what happened to Morrow both on-screen and in his personal life -- he became a dad, showed genuine like and vulnerability for his kids, evolved into a kind of "protector bear" [without being a bear] -- mattered. For Morrow, I began to find him accessing emotion. He is subtle about it, but watching him during Cassie's death, his breakup with Sharon, his tempestuous affair with the Red Menace, his sorrow upon returning from his "Nick Van Winkle" arc...all of these things filtered back into the sexiness of the man. I also find his perfect body...toned, muscular, not a power lifter, not a lean 'no cookies for me' type. Just perfect...very appealing. Morrow also, when he's allowed (LML did more of that) infuses Nick with a playfulness...like when he lifted his shirt to flash his abs at Phyllis. All of that goes into the sexiness. I feel that the boundaries between Morrow and Nick have blurred, and I like the "no bullsh*t" man that seems to shine through.

The sexiest I ever found Nick -- ever -- was when as loving son he sat down with this epilepsy-addled father and built shelves. Yup. Loved it. Wish I'd kept it forever. Suddenly, Nick becoming the adult, guiding his addled dad, providing reassurance to Victor. In that moment, I loved him forever.

I have therefore been VERY displeased at two things. First, the hint that Nick might have switched Summer's test results. No, no, no! I want Nick to be a man of integrity. Second, I HATE his dishonestly ... no, wrong word.... his lack of commitment to Phyllis (or Sharron). This waffling sh*t totally undermines the character.

I know I have blurred character and actor, but they are definitely fused for me.

i never thought he was sexy until he bulked up.

He was not cute in the 90's.

but the rest... wtf are you talking about? honestly? Nick, a man of integrity? He NEVER has been. And his cheating and keeping secrets undermines the character? WHAT? Nick IS a cheater. Always has been. Its a HUGE part of who he is.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
