You'll hate me, but I'd take Goddard any day over him. He's not bad, and I think he was okaaaay on Y&R (if I'm remembering him as the right dude...), but Goddard...aaaah there's something about him. He reminds me so much of this guy I know, it's ridiculous. I think that's why I have such affection for his looks.

This first one has soap relevance. Carlos Benard was the stepson of Ashley's biological father, Brent Davis, on Y&R.

Yes, and Rafael was Brent Davis' stepson.

You're thinking of Marc Mergeron, who was Dina's stepson...and he was played by a French actor.

In both cases, there was a bit of a "chemistry" with Ashley (esp. Eileen Davidson), but Ash actually had kissing scenes/etc. with Marc Mergeron.

Over a decade separated the two men's appearances on the show.

The second one has little soap relevance, although Leland Orser recurred on ER for years. But what an amazing scene on 24 last night.... Orser's bed partner was incidental...an extra. But instead of it being the customary female bimbo of the week... (photos courtesy of another board). What a delicious little piece of activism....
