I always preferred her Jessica to Tess. She's too over-the-top (for me) when she's playing Tess. I find the Bess character ridiculous but I like her slant on the character. But I remember a few years back Nelson was slobbering all over her in his commentary. Now he thinks she's improved?

I think that Lowder belongs on this list. But these thingss are always going to be subjective anyway.

Buddy has improved tremendously since he first came on OLTL (god he was awful). However, I would have put Arianne Zucker at #1. Ever since she returned to Days, her newfound strength in her acting blew me away.

Sursok? Did Sony Benefactor pay Nelson a visit?

Anything like this is always subjective. It comes down to a matter of opinion for a reporter or for each of us as posters. To judge a person based on their opinion of who is great, improved or not to me is the wrong approach to take.

I look around on this board and I see so many people call someone a great actor and I think what in the world are they seeing because I just don't. But yet there are people that I think are great that others can't see what I am I seeing. For instance I still see Kirsten Alderson's talent but many others don't. Also a lot of people complain about her being plain looking but that is what I appreciate about her. Why does every actress on the soaps have to be a model? I would hate for anyone to judge me as a soap fan based on that, and I wouldn't judge them and their opinions based on the fact they don't see her talent or think she is plain looking.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the same could be said for talent. We all see it differently.

As far as liking someone all the time and then saying they have improved, I don't understand what the problem is there either.

I have always loved Arianne Zuker, but even I see that she has improved. She has always had talent but in the last year specifically that girl has grown a lot.

Same with Bree Williamson to me. I have always liked her but there were times in the last year I didn't like her much at all. Then there was this scene she did with Erika Slezak a few months back that I thought she nailed and I think she has been a lot better over the last few months.

    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
