Lily the girl who rejected him not once but TWICE?

Remember that?

Billy still cares for Lily but he's doing that woman to numb the pain of losing her to Cane (of all people).

Makes perfect sense to me. I dunno what you're expecting but most people don't hang around waiting for the one they love to finally love them back....and the way they're characterizing Billy I for one wouldn't expect him to join a monastery and take a vow of celibacy until Lily returns to him.

Okay, you scared me for a minute. I don't want the gurl to die (however, if she does okay I can live with that) if she goes mad that would be a great punishment. Losing Billy to Lily would be the perfect punishment. Talk about the irony of that moment. She ruins Lily relationship with Cane by lying only to see the man she actually loves, fall in love with the woman's life she ruin. Oh my I think I can write for Y&R now.

Amber=Phyllis. I don't know about that one. I think a pairing of Kate and Amber would definitely work for me. They have chemistry that is for sure.

I'm not a fan of Noah I don't like the way he speaks to his parents. And I don't like Eden at all. I'm hoping Abbby makes her life a living you know what!

Red! Red! You came back! :D

Billy sexin' up Sharon only tells me one thing, he is not interested in Kate. Thank God! I hope Kate walks in on them during there ta-to-ta.

If you can't be with the one you love honey, love the one your with.

The show is on fire. Every story is clicking for me. The ratings are up and I have a feeling the ratings will increase even more. Only time will tell. But I am loving Y&R right now. I can't say that about any other soap on the air right now.

With the exception of Karen/Neil/Tyra ITA. Everything is just flowing together so well.

I didn't even mention Victor in yesterday's episode but WOW! I loved his scenes with Billy. You could see and feel the regret he had when it comes to Adam and his current predicament. The wisdom he gave to Billy was very heartfelt and I think it's great that he and Billy get along...for now.

And then that last scene with that woman. I've officially decided that I am not going to look up any spoilers regarding her. I want it to be a complete surprised. Did she have bandages on the last time they showed her? I don't think so but I'm not entirely sure. Anyways the drama is just so exciting right now and the suspense is killing me. I just want to know what Victor has planned right now. Will it hurt Colleen or Jack?

I hope Y&R gets up to 4.5. I know I'm dreaming but it's hard to not dream when the show seems to be ON FIRE (literally) every single day of the week and it's been going on for weeks now.

As a perennial voice of ratings doom ("it's the decline trajectory!"), I think Y&R could hit 4.5. It hit 4.1 one day last week, so 4.5 is actually in spitting distance. It depends on the trifecta of consistently excellent writing, commitment to spending a bit of $ on promotion ("Phillip happens here"), and creating a bit of a buzzworthy tale (Sudden Impact, Kay's funeral).

I won't deny that I'm a bit worried about the price they're paying for higher ratings (at this point, the campy Radisson story is simply silly, but I have confidence it will end soon)...too much of this sensationalistic stuff, and the show loses its heart. But, except for Tyra, this show is as strong as it has been in a long time.

Maybe the masked woman is Britney. Maybe she needs a new face to escape the mob.

And Billy does not love Lily, he just likes sticking it to Cane. A relationship will not last on a soap when only one person is carrying the whole thing!!

I can't wait to see this tomorrow! Billy is such a man whore and I'm loving every scene of it. Poor Chloe in today's US episode where he tells her he wants to be FWB! I have to wonder if after Billy found out that he and Mac were cousins, if this isn't what made him the way he is.

I got a little chuckle today when Noah and Eden were caught kissing at his birthday party and Phyllis whispered to Nick "Yep, he's your son". And we all know that Phyllis won't be able to keep to herself with seeing Sharon today.

That's a name that's not been thrown out there. Hmm!

The consistent writing seems to be there so far. Promotion is also a way but not like GL's. GL Phillip Happens Here is just awful! The buzz will come from viewers liking what they see and staying and telling others how good Y&R is again.

The Radisson story is campy. But I have seen much worse on all the others soaps. I like the Radisson story and it brings in so many vets back into the fold.

In the words of Smokey Robinson, "I second that emotion." Let see, Billy freely told Lily about his one-night stands with Kate. He told the "truth" about Kate's child sharing his DNA because Lily told him too. Then after all was said and done, he told that his heart was with her.

Yup, you are right, I chose to believe otherwise too.

    • They’ve been really nailing the fall out super well and your whole post really highlights some of the great parts and ramifications we’re seeing.
    • I like that this episode highlighted the ramifications of what Eva and her rotten mama did. They were so focused on Ted and Nicole, not even realizing that other people would be affected. Eva thought nothing of what she did to Mona bc she was sure no on would hold anything against her but Mona is right in that they ruined her reputation with the Duprees. They dont blame her but they will likely never trust her judgement again. She has to walk by them feeling the guilt and shame that she'll never live down bc she unknowingly played a role in the hell that was unleashed. Not to mention the trauma and trust issues she no has bc she genuinely viewed Leslie as a friend   And poor Laura nearly died when she had that car accident and then had a heart attack and infection bc she was poisond. She's been recuperating for 3 months. She missed her trip to Hawaii and no idea what impact this has done on her relationship and her own plans but no on was thinking about that.   Eva and Leslie need to be made to feel like ish bc this was bigger than just Ted and Nicole

    • Understand your point.  But I usually see Reginald's mustache twirling villainy as ultra campy bordering on comedic (albeit unsuccessfully).  And upon Reginald's exit, most of the overt camp/comedy seemed to cease. And although I'm aware camp and comedy are not exactly the same thing, I tend to throw them together anyway -- especially when discussing soaps.  You are correct, Mary was not played for laughs.  When I used to term "let's play everything for laughs" I didn't mean literally everything or every character was comedic. But TPTB put so much effort into comedy, it did tend to eat the show for a few years (again not literally). I'm just expressing my perspective on the topic, and lots of folks probably disagree.  That's cool. People who like comedy on soaps tend to defend it, and folks who don't like comedy (or think it want too far) tend to criticize it.  Whichever side of the fence one is on, it sure didn't help the ratings on AW.
    • Nope, it was not just you, I had the same issues. Most either disagreed with me, or just ignored my comments. But, I most definitely would have liked for them to take another route, even to add sheer variety in the storytelling. It is what it is, the story is a hit with the fans...
    • You may be a casual watcher, but you got SO much right.
    • I've been eagerly awaiting Kate's first episode under the new writers, and I wasn't disappointed. I started reminiscing about all of Kate's misdeeds when she said how good of a liar she was and how she saw right through Roman's lying. I really buy this matured, but still wise Kate in 2025, and the fact that you know under the right circumstances, the more ruthless side is always there, under the surface. Hopefully, with Roman about to confess, we get the full truth about just what the hell happened with Johnny the night EJ was shot, then all the major suspects will be eliminated, just for the writers to throw in that wrench that's waiting for it's time to shine. Everytime Brady thaws even a little bit towards Kristen I immediately get concerned. I was entertained by their fight, and it was smart to mention Kirsten having no friends, let alone positive female relationships except for Lani in regards to why Rachel is such a loser. As a viewer, do you think Stacy Haiduk as Kristen was at all thinking about her former friendships with Jennifer and Billie in that moment? I wonder if she's even aware that they were, or who Billie even is. Anyway, I do wish Kristen could have also thrown in Brady's face that he's literally the biggest slut in Salem. Rachel seeing and possibly hearing about him going from woman to woman would also negatively affect Rachel's negative ideals about women, and possibly her own self-hatred. I thought Doug's favourite class being English lit was a good through line from how impressed he was with grandpa Doug's poetry book to Julie. Hearing he dropped out because no one at home cared just made me yearn for more information about Charles LeClair as a father and person. Maybe it was this time that Robert LeClair was dying so Charles was distracted and it all fell apart after that? Alex with Kristen today is the most interesting I've seen him written. He was smarmy and cold and for a quick second looked like he was enjoying playing with Kristen clearly throwing herself at him, but when she dropped her facade he became merciful, but still unwilling to budge. He would have fit in well in the more complex 70s era as a cad with a heart underneath his bravado. However, and I can't stress this enough, I absolutely despise whenever he calls Philip, 'Phil.' It just itches my brain in all the wrong ways.
