You know what's also sad? From the way Susan is playing it, I almost get the sense that Erica has to convince/remind herself that this is her son and she's supposed to have strong feelings for him. So tragic that Joshie is, so tragic.

YAY for Angie... Give me a break for Jake. Jake's a piss poor excuse of a doctor -- not to mention he basically handed David the COS position by being an idiotic and hypocritical Martin and attempting to lie to the freakin' government about Brot in front of David.

It's more Thorsten, I think. Zach has had other insufferable moments before. During the Budget Cut Killer Satin Slayer story Zach smacked a cup of coffee out of the hand of the bodyguard that was handing it to Kendall, berated the guard, and then told the guard to "CLEAN THAT UP!" I don't get why he plays his love for Kendall so unsympathetically, but he does. It's like whenever Kendall is involved, he will become this loud, angry insufferable jerk... which is one of the reasons I've grown to hate Zendall. Thorsten plays Zach's affection for other characters in a rather touching and almost sweet and endearing manner... but when it comes to Zach's affection for Kendall, it's like... Dude... is she your wife or your heroin addiction?

Although I think AMC would be just fine writing Krystal out and freeing up the money she earns for someone else, Bobbie Eakes is fantastic.

Colin Egglesfield, on the other hand....well he definitely has not improved since those god-awful scenes where Josh had Babe close him up in a coffin.

Bobbie Eakes was great today. And I like seeing Angie get her hands dirty. I was afraid she was headed toward sainted Mother Earth territory. But I hate hearing her prop Krystal. I've never bought that friendship.

JR just gets on my nerves and something just seems wrong with Jacob Young. I'm beginning to think the actor is drunk, not the character.

Amanda pregnant, a custody hearing for Jenny, we just got done with Gabby's birth...can this show PLEASE get away from the baby-based drama? It's bordering on self-parody.

It's always seemed plot pointy to me. From the moment Angie came back, Krystal crawled right up into her colon and settled in. I know part of the reason for that was so Angie could bring the audience up to speed on the J&A backstory by "explaining" it to Krystal but then Kwak started waxing on about "destiny" and "true love" and it was obvious they were going to be BFFs.

I agree, what IS it?? Something about him as always been "not right" to me. I actually liked him for about 5 min. when he first came to AMC though it seemed like he thought he was hot shiz for playing Luke AND Adam's so. Then of course Babe made him evil and he started trying to make his voice all deep and gravelly. The coup de grace was when he decided to pat himself on the back that year at the Emmys.

Well she and Krystal haven't been aces long enough for their friendship to withstand Krystal's betrayal of Tad. This is where recurring characters come in handy, let Angie air her stuff to Livia or Opal over lunch every once in a while. Krystal feels like one of those real life "friendships" that end once you break up with someone (and their friends). Angie sure as hell doesn't like Hayward, and Krystal screwed over one of her best friends, so if the writers make Angie "fight" for Krystal beyond "She's hurting, she needs to work her stuff out... but not on my time" it really won't work for me.

Exactly, and it didn't always used to be like that. I much preferred Zach and the silent type that only on rare occasions would open up and show some sense of emotion. Myrtle for instance always could get him to open up, and in the early days of Zendall Kendall could too.... I mean thats when Thorsten was turning in emmy calibre stuff....

I mean I sit and read on these boards people constantly complaining about Neanderthal Ryan (myself included), and Zach for a time was the anti-Ryan. Now he is one in the same if not more annoying.

    • In the current environment, while it's small, there is a crumb of good news: Apparently, San Antonio voted for a DEMOCRATIC mayor, Gina Ortiz, beating the "right-hand man" of Gov. Greg Abbott, former Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5337199-gina-ortiz-jones-wins-san-antonio/
    • Love this! You are both adorable. Wow
    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.
