Oh I aspire to be as witty as you ;)

But yeah, Pratt since he came aboard has pretty much created heated debate with most of his storylines...... but most of the debate has been between said fanbase, and the objective crowd. He knows how to write drama, and knows how to get people fired up.... last time I checked that's one of the core requirements to be a writer in daytime... I am not saying Pratt is a scribe sent from heaven, but he causes debate.... and causes people to actually get fired up about his stories.... and the ratings have been relatively stable since he came aboard..... some may call that being a hack, but I actually call it some semblance of vision, vision this show has lacked for the better part of a decade. That's my two cents anyway, I prepare now to be pounced on from all angles.

LOL! I'll have your back, don't worry.

And you're so right. I always wonder...people may bitch and complain about a show day in and out, yet they're still watching and are invested enough to comment. Isn't that all that's needed for a writer to be deemed successful?

And yeah I have always wondered that myself..... but, that is what online has done to the genre.... its given practically every daytime viewer the opportunity (if he/she wants) to speak out about their show, characters, couples what have you. I mean when I get fed up with a show.... I don't watch..... I quit AMC during the Slavery Hour it was under B&E. I quit during Jean Passanate's crack induced reign of terror.....

Online forums should be there for debate and a place for people to voice their concerns, however if you keep running into posters who do nothing but complain and attack everything about the show, but continue to watch.... its only natural for their opinions to become less and less valid in my eyes (and I presume others) by the minute.....

I guess I should get back on topic here.... so how about that Josh? Why does he want revenge on Zach? I mean Zach never did anything to him except threaten his life.....

What makes me the most sad, is that Pratt clearly wanted to get rid of Megan's mistakes. Try and fix what she broke. Only, rather then actually write a storyline that was in character, gave a little respect and dignity back to AMC, he chooses instead to go with OCC, cheap violence, that will make Josh's death as much an absurd plot line as his "birth" was. He chose flash and shock, over substance and a real fix.

I'm not surprised. But definitely sad.

I only hope that Erica gets final say in Kendall getting Josh's heart. I hope Joe, and the Martin's aren't whispering in her ear, telling her what is right (because the Martin's know best). She had no say over Greg violating her the first time, it's time she gets a little say in Josh's life...and death.

This is just dumb....Josh is not a villain and Pratt made him one...dumb, dumb, dumb...I guess this is his thing.... He turned Di Henry into a villain too.

ICAM! Pratt has a vision for the show that is not all about appeasing the fanbases, which is how soaps should be written, imo. There does seem to be a huge rift between those of us who are fans of the show as a whole and those who push their couple incessantly. AMC was never about one couple to the exclusion of everyone else (like GH was during the Luke & Laura era) and Pratt has been wisely writing for the entire show.

I actually don't mind this "fix." Sure, he could have undone the unabortion mess, but that would have meant keeping Josh around longer to tell the story. I'm just glad Josh is going to die and hopefully not be mentioned often in the future. As a viewer who never liked Josh or Zach and has grown to detest Kendall, as well, I actually think this story could turn out to be quite touching so long as the focus is on Erica and not Zach.

I co-sign this thought. I'm on Zach overload. It would be better if this focuses on Erica and the Kanes because its about their family ties and the fallout. It could be the one difference to make this touching or at the very least emotional.

Yes I agree..... it is very ironic that Erica is going to chose to end Josh's life to save Kendall..... I am of the school of thought reversing the unabortion would just be another revisionist storyline and its better this way. Of course that's my school of thought that not many seem to agree with, but Megan and Co made a hell of a mistake.... and once Megan left that mistake was gradually phased out.... and now permanently.....

Sure it doesn't excuse the original travesty..... but it puts the issue to rest..... and I doubt we will ever hear about Josh again. Pratt is making the best of an impossible situation his predecessor left him. The only problem I do have is there should have been more build up and that could have been one hell of a compelling storyline....

I understand that, and I don't completely disagree. I get why it's "easier" to do things this way. I just feel like it's a cheap road. Kill him and pretend he never happened. It's just more of Frons and Co. thinking we're stupid, and don't remember what happened the day before. I just feel like someone needs to finally say, that enough is enough and rather then just pretend and forget, actually take steps to fix and make things better.

Everyone knows where I stand on this issue, and that I will never be able to view AMC the same again or watch more then selected clips over long periods of time. It's just that much of an insult to me. But that doesn't mean I'm not happy he's gone. Or that Erica will never have to utter the words "my son" again after the next couple of weeks/months. And here I always waned a son for her. The irony.

I hope the promo isn't misleading and that Erica really does have final say. I don't like any of this, but Erica finally have a little control and not having to suffer the effects of someone else believing they know better then she does, is a welcome change.

Mostly, I just wish the whole thing never happened in the first place. :(
