Why does Adam have a Public Defender? He's got money. Having him up there with a PD was sloppy.

Is that the same lawyer Neil hired to help Tyra? So how can he be a Public Defendant?

For those interested this clip of Michael's stand alone and pictures of the holiday decorations from the set are up at SONY. I am glad we have the decorations back.

Me too! I couldn't believe Latham's audacity last year when she prohibited decorations. All she had done was like one reef at Crimson Lights. At least we're getting more lush decorations again this year.

The decorations are back. Pics of the decorated sets. In my totally biased opinion I like the Baldwin place. Jana and Kevin's apartment is really Daniel and Amber's place and it is so Amber. I loved the Chancellor tree. The Newman ranch seems a bit subdued but I liked the pictures and mantle.

I like the Newman Ranch at Christmas. Thanks for that link. love that stuff!

I loved Nikki today telling Victor off; he's such an ass! Thanks for the links lmfan. The Chancellor estate was my favorite with Jana & Kevin's falling in a close second... that pink and black was so Jana.

Billy and Lily are starting to pull me into their beautiful World. I can't wait to see what happens next between these two amazing characters. As much as I love Lane, I'm starting to adore Lilliam.

I must say, I like the trashy Phyllis and bitched-up Lauren in that clip.

Tracey is so much better and much more fun when she's in bitch mode.

And boy can Tracey play a great bitch. I remember watching her as a teen and on one hand I hated Lauren and on the other hand I loved her lines and delivery. She was the definition of a smart and witty bitch. I like that Lauren has evolved but she is too nice now. I liked her best when she was dating Michael. She still had her edge, was still in business mode yet was very sweet, fun, and sexy with Michael. They even had great arguments when they dated.

Everything is so serious and dramatic with Michael and Lauren now. I know they have been married awhile and are raising two kids, but they need to let them be sexy and have fun every now and then.

In regards to Jack Smith's influence from late 2005 till he was fired: he was not consulted on anything, Sony absolutely absolved him of his duties as HW and although LML's name was not in the credits as HW till February, she was the driver of that bus. Sony had grown to hate Jack Smith, his Nielsen surveys were terrible and a number of the cast members (A list cast members) were unhappy with their storylines.

Everything that happened with Jack's son only made the situation worse. He was in the worst position imaginable. Given his situation he did the best he possibly could.

Well, but in his exit interview, he said he played an intermediary role (between writing and production) in the period before his dismissal. He said (I don't have the quotes) that production was "riled up", and he was helpful in smoothing things over.

I assume "production" was Kathryn Foster and Ed Scott and...

What role was Josh Griffith playing at that point? He was "co-EP" at that point already, I think.

Griffith didn't become Co-EP until October 2006, Smith had vacated the EP position months before.

When Billy first told Lily about his lawyer friend Rafe, he said that his old buddy was working in the Public Defender's office now but had previously had a gig working family law cases. Even though it's outside what he does now, Rafe took the case about Ana as a favor to his old friend Billy who had helped him out when they were in school together.

Esther and Jill are my new favorite couple!

The dialogue today was brilliant. I think Esther put a Santa on the roof? I have to watch on Soapnet tonight.

Jill: Its TACKY!

Regarding Esther's not so subtle comments:

'Very subtle, Esther"..

I love Jess and Kate.
